Sometimes it may look white, but actually it's just one or two tendency levels away. I hate it so much, why not just have a counter or something? >_>

Oh wait, that'd make sense. This game (and Dark Souls, for that matter. :P) don't make sense.

Your guy represents your soul tendency. Each of the archstones surrounding your "guy" on that screen has a a light, as well. Those are world tendencies. It's hard to tell the difference between pure and almost pure from there. Anyway, you can also see your world tendency in the top right of the gameplay screen. It's the sphere surrounded by two bars. Your soul tendency can be seen as well, in the top left. This video has pure white in the top right, if it helps. :d

@nirvanafan7777 Sure! Just gotta get that tendency back up. You can go through the world an go back when you have pure tendency. I think helping people with their levels brings up your tendency, too. :p

TVtropes told me that there's evil Cthulhu-looking guys in this level that stun you and suck your brains out. Is there anywhere I can see that?

They are mages that have lanterns. They stun you with an electric beam, then run over while you're stunned and pick you up, then stab at you and drain you for quite A LOT of health. They can also farcast with a soul ray attack. It hurts a lot too. These are dudes you wanna backstab and quickly kill. DO NOT mess around with them. They are EXTREMELY deadly. At least, for me.

i dont understand why my tendacy is pure white and i dont have the bridge at all, why i have to go out of a level to get pure black tendacy after dying 5 times with eternal eyes, why Sasuki wont show up on Storm level - man is there another patch 2 download or something?

there is onething I dont understand, how do you see what your tendency is and how do you get it white ?

You can go to the menu and check your tendencies on the tab with the character in the middle and archstones surrounding him. The one in the middle is your character tendency, and each of the lights on the archstones are the world tendency. If the archstone is bright, that means it's toward the white side, if it's darker, then it's toward the dark side. Unfortunately, there's no clear way to see your tendency.

You need pure white world tendancy, you don't get that from killing things in the level. You can get it up by beating bosses in the level or slaying black phantoms. Possibly helping another player as a blue phantom does as well.

@femtegir If you have the special edition of Demon souls, then youll have a strategy guide in there as well explaining you all about it, well roughly said: if the statue in the middle of your tendecy is dark blacky like, your black world tendecy, if its like blue bright shiny light in it, your pure white world tendecy, and if its just a like, grey lookin statue without any light or whatsoever, your neutral. There are ways to get it to white such as helping people with boss as phantom, i believe

Killing bosses really improves your World Tendency. Joining people's worlds and helping them to the end of the level also improves it. (I think)

Killing black phantoms in worlds improves it. (if someone invades you)

Some things that take it down:

Dying in body form actually brings it down. (You can die in soul form, keep in mind)

Invading someone's world and killing them does it too (If you die, nothing happens. Don't die on purpose though, you loose a soul level.)

So, yah.

You take the Red Hot Demon's Soul to Blacksmith Ed, he takes it and you can make unique items. (Items that take an item and a demon's soul.)

The people do come back. Though, if he killed Stockpile Thomas, all of your stuff with him will be gone.

You get the sword by taking a club or something like that to Blacksmith Ed with a Grey Demon's Soul (The Vanguard's Soul, the mid 4-1 boss or the tutorial boss that everyone dies at).

The sword is called Meat Cleaver, you can look it up on the Demon's Souls Wikidot.

It's my favorite weapon. :)

i beat everything there but the hardest was the twin maneaters i find a cool way to kill the u know the stair case n that area while i used poson on one of them and hide on the side of those stair case to keep alive and when the other came out i stayed there until the first one died then i jus killed the last one the same way i know it took a long time but it was better then dieing lol it was the old monk that was cool to fight and i love to fight the idol girl her and maiden whats her face

For the maneaters, you could have just used a bow through the fog door. It only works on the sides of the fog.

This tactic was especially helpful when I got into NG+
