You must remember this was for a group of students that have never in their entire life seen or heard hebrew. Further, for most of the students this subject has nothing to do with their major and so they are less than interested in the subject. You cannot start off a baby with whole food... it needs milk and honey first. If I were teaching within the context of a class devoted to such subjects the analysis could be more in-depth.
