If you ever played Tomb Raider Legend when there's the cutscene in the beginning of Lara finding the Dias in the first place there's a dead body laying there. Since she finds the pictures of the Yeti she had drawn and left behind when she was a child, you're led to believe it's the original Dias that her mother had gone through. So the skeleton would be that dead body.

What a crap ending the Tomb Raider games have gotten worse since crystal dynamics started making them.

with underworld being a failure i guess most people hate what tomb raider has become i'm hoping that tomb raider's new owners will scrap legend lara and bring back old lara and continue with the planned angel of darkness trilogy.

I liked Underworld. It was too short is all. Legend was easy, but fun to play, and replay, and Anniversary is just a remake, nothing spectacular.

The only thing I'm complaining about is the shortness. It used to take weeks to beat Tomb Raider, but I beat Underworld in 2 days. It was pretty darn hard, there were tons of puzzles that even the older Tomb Raiders could envy.

I don't see people complaining about TRU, other than the length... where are you seeing this complaining?

And a side note, Core Design was losing it too. The last Tomb Raider game they did was The Angel of Darkness, which was a total flop. It had nothing to do with Tomb Raider. That's why Core was removed and CD was brought in.

I hated the story in this one. Loved Legend so much but this one just ruined everything. Even the big moments like killing Natla was dumbed down. She died in less than 2 seconds! We did all those games before this to get to the last scene here and then NOTHING! Boo-fucking-hoo. This game pretty much answered all the questions and finished Laras story for good. If you haven't heard the news, publisher Eidos fired 30 of current Tomb Raider developer Crystal Dynamic's workers after reporting that TR:U sales didn't do as well as expected. Considering how this game was evidently rushed in an unfinished state to be released in time for the holiday season, it's doubtful that the next one will be able to get any better if Eidos still owns publishing rights to it.

I doubt she's dead. The Yeti thralls needed several blows from the hammer before they died, and Natla is a god. I think it's safe to assume that she did in fact survive the blow from the hammer.

No. You missed the point. Helheim IS Avalon. King Arthur didn't actually use the Dais in his tomb, he was in the big statue thing. The point was to show that Avalon isn't some mythical paradise, but rather, a form if hell. I mean, just look at it. Not a nice place. Plus the 'Underworlds' lara visits are in fact just places that were built by the ancients. The myths surrounding the afterlife aspect were just brough about over time. The only mythical thing about them is the Eitr, and Mjolnir.
