  • never knew that i would a meet a future famous person

  • not famous yet, has to prove it on the field 1st

  • you seem to have an act for him huh

  • cant wait for nc st

  • I seriously cant wait 2 see his skills at the Spring Practice.. the highlight tape is beast

  • that is one of the best carolina rb carolina had in years

  • he has yet to prove himself on the field though

  • we kept him under 100 yards..i layed him out in the back feild and he made my highlight reel

  • ya i bet you did....not. wheres your highlight video? and what college you going too??? and what school you played for?

  • im a junior def end at mitchell highschool so i havent signed yet...and idk how to put it on youtube cuz something is wrong wit the format

  • might be the rb south carolina needs cause we really need a good runnin game.

  • giles looks nasty, nice quick step and cuts on a dime, awesome recruit, i hope hell make good decisions

  • i go to that school and he is a huge fuckin monster definatly gettin a scholorship somewhere

  • awesome that we're getting Giles and Axom... should finally put a spark into our running game.

  • Boy, Gaither H.S. sure have plenty of Pitch plays.

  • I'm exited about getting to see Jarvis in a football game, he looks like he has great talent.

  • You guys are idiots who know nothing about football. We don't need a QB. We have a great one and you guys think he sucks cause he couidnt lead us to glory in his freshman year. Come on guys give Garcia some time. And its about time we get a playmaker at RB. We havent had one of those since Demetrius Summers and Derek Watson. We are a young team, and just need time not idiots like you guys calling freshman failures

  • thank you, he's a rookie who started in about only three or four games, then hes suddenly shot into the starting position of a bowl game. give him maybe one more year and i see us competing for the SEC championship.

  • i dont know about an SEC championship unless we get an o-line. if we get that then i can see it happening. we also have a bunch of freshman WR's coming in that i am excited about

  • yeah i kno, i look forward to our defense being top ranked again too. especially wit those two safeties.

  • I'm so happy Jarvis committed, he looks like he has a ton of talent. The thing is, we don't running backs, we need quarterbacks, unless they ,somehow, have a miraclle in the offseason and become a whole lot better.

  • who r u kidding . we dont need runnin backs are you out your rabbit ass mind.. geesh what football team have you been watching.

  • when the hell did i say we needed running backs, if you could read, you would know i said we needed quarter backs faggott

  • we dont running backs, that dont mak a damn bit of sence.. so fuck you faggot.. suck my ass pussy homo

  • shut the fuck up you dont know what your talking about, you cant read either. if what i said didnt make sense, then there's no chance in hell that what you said made sense. mind your own business bitch

  • ya momma

  • fag

  • its like he playing against lil kids

  • this my borther right here. he doing big things watch out for him .. and this was his jr year

  • Go Cocks

  • did carolina get him or is he going to tenessee. cuz somebody told me we got him but the thing says he is going to tennessee

  • South Carolina commit

  • im a huge carolina fan. but it doesnt matter what kind of talent we have in the backfield. if we cant block on the line, we wont do nething. Mike Davis for example. he is a great running back. he is getting all of the blame for bad running put on him though because our fucking offensive line cant pick up a block. if we had a decent OL i guarentee Davis would have been All-SEC and this kid probably will end up being all sec too. i hope

  • Instead of spewing nonsense, here's an insiders assessment of Spurriers tenure at Carolina(being that I've been in the stadium for every game since 2000). The guy took over an EXTREMELY mediocre program and has made us competitive in 4 years. They said he couldn't recruit, well after this class signs thats two top ten classes in 3 years. This program is only lacking one vital necessity to compete and that is OL play(they are the WORST in the COUNTRY-statistically and to the naked eye)

  • Spurrier took over a team that was 6-5 and 4 years later they are 7-5. It doesnt matter if there is more talent, the results are almost identical. He is an overrated coah who is a product of his own build up. He is a narcisstic jerk who will never get a team to beat a team with more talent beacuse he cant motivate. Thats not nonsense, look at my earlier posts and I give you the facts to back it up.

  • I admire the fact you're from Oregon or something and have watched college football for years and have a slight perspective, but you fail miserably to consider the true "facts" that matter. 1.)Spurrier owned the SEC for upwards of a ten year span like Boise owns the WAC now(extremely impressive)2. He's had Carolina bowl eligible for 4 straight years(never been done)3.He recruits top flight talent(not done consistently)4. This isn't Alabama so save your Saban reference 5. Who could do better?

  • Look, I never said that Spurrier was a bad coach. (Im from Washington DC btw) I said that Spurrier was a grossly overrated coach. The reason I believe this is because I dont think I have ever seen one of his teams beat a more talented team. Also, his offensive mind is hardly birlliant or it would have worked in the pro game. He doesnt adjust well in game and he doesnt motivate his players. I would say that he was a great recruiter but its pretty easy to recruit at Florida.

  • And to say the guy needs athletes to succeed is true, thats why he's learned to recruit kids to run his system. And no he's not some CEO type head coach who motivates players etc..which is what makes him different/special-he calls plays and his players are an extension of his brilliant offensive mind. I hated the guy when he was at UF too, but I wasn't stupid enough to call him a bad coach. He is the downfield passing attack and it pissed me off. The guy won everywhere you can't deny it buddy.

  • I just want to clarify that I am a Steelers fan and I hate the Skins so I was glad when he screwed them up. That being said, after he left they made the playoffs in 2 of their next 4 years. The one thing I will say on his behalf is that he seems to be recruiting pretty well at USC, but there is something to the fact that he took over a 6-5 football team and they are 7-5 this year. Spurrier is not a bad coach, but he is not an all time great. He is also a narcissitic, self promoting jerk.

  • Well maybe we can agree that Mike Tomlin was an awesome hire...Obviously his brilliance doesn't translate to the pro game, but you must consider the many differences of the two and I was only speaking for one(college). but regardless the average record he's accumulated here that you bring up may seem more valid from a distance than inside the program. The SEC is an outrageous conference parity wise, and considering where the cocks came from i think he's on the right path. Yes he's arrogant too.

  • Yeah Tomlin is great. Look I dont dislike South Carolina I just think that Spurrier is overrated. Im not even saying hes not a good coach. Hes just not a great one. I mean nobody is calling Tommy Tuberville a genious and he actually has an undefeated season. Spurrier has never won all of his games because he cant motivate his players for a whole season. Thats just how I feel. Youre right that Im not inside the program, but from where Im standing I just see a guy that changes QBs every week

  • and in year 4 is still losing games to teams like Vanderbilt. As for the pro game thing, my point is that he doesnt adapt well. Even in the college game, he never makes in game adjustments. Its my way or the high way with him and hes learning that his way doesnt work so well anymore. Thats why I think he is one of the most overrated coaches or sports figures in history. Hes good, but not as good as the media thinks he is.

  • With regards to Spuriers coaching job in the bowl game yesterday, its sucked. Like I said the guy never makes in game adjustments and he NEVER gets the most out of his players. Its sad because that South Carolina team has way too much talent to be 7-6

  • yeah hes stubborn

  • bahdahdoop... You talk about all this talent. The '07 class was the big recruiting class other than this year. That would make them sophs (most redshirted) & you don't look at recruiting do you? A top 10 recruiting class in the nation might be 3rd, 4th best recruiting class in the SEC. The other teams also have had better recruiting classes for YEARS. Which era of USC football should we get back to...? You make yourself sound like a jackass when you don't know what your talking about.

  • coming to sweet caroline. go gamecocks

  • Wait, so who has he beaten with more talent again? Yeah thats what I thought. He never has. Also, as I said earlier, he tookover a 6-5 teamand this year he is 7-5. Thats hardly a hall of fame coaching job.

  • I don't know man, I disagree. He averaged 10 wins per season at Florida from 1990-2001, no other coach was able to do that. And it wasn't just the players, there were waves of players during those years. At SC, you can't expect a coach to transform a team of 100 years of mediocrity into the kind of program UF has. Forget their record, they're going to their third bowl in four years for the first time EVER. He's doing something right, even if they still aren't a great team

  • I'm a huge SC fan, but spurrier has to go. He has been given a shitload of talent, but they 're so scared of making a mistake that they can't just go out and play football. this musical quarterback bullshit is moronic. anyone who knows football knows that the offense needs ONE guy to rally behind. alternating every other play? that is absolutely the worst coaching move i've EVER seen. these sideshows of throwing playbooks and visors and belittling our players needs to end. spurrier has to go.

  • thank you. thats exactly what he is: a SIDESHOW. When is the last time the guy actually put a good product out on the field anywhere? Its been almost a decade. But because of his self serving crap and beacuse the media is gay for him he is somehow the greatest coach ever. He is a mediocre coach.

  • the hall of fame beacuse he has the stats, but as far as being a great coach, he isn't one of the best now, then, or ever.

  • Ok, here are some stats for you. When with the Gators, he won 6 SEC titles (NOT easy), won at least 9 games in each of his 12 seasons (one of only 3 coaches to ever do this), was ranked in the top 15 in every season, with 9 top 10 finishes and 5 top 5. He went to a bowl EVERY season, one of only 5 schools to ever do that. His all time record at Uf was 122-27-1. Anyone who doesn't see how legendary Spurrier's time at UF was is blind. That being said, lets look at the Gamecocks before and after

  • In 2005, Spurriers first year with the cocks, they went on a 5-game SEC winning streak for the first time ever, beating UF for the first time EVER, and beating Tennessee. He got a 7-5 season out of a team nobody expected anything from. This is after holtz's time there, where he got 3 losing seasons and 3 winning seasons and 2 bowls. Spurrier has done more than that in 4 years, he's taking them to their 3rd bowl and he hasn't had a losing season yet. Tell me how thats not improvement

  • they probably will never have the football program that UF has or other great football schools have, but if you look at the dismal history of the Gamecocks, the last 4 years have been much better, except for 2007. But in 07 they were plagued with injuries. This year they just had a bad quarterback and a weak offensive line, but their defense was 4th in the nation for the first time. Now they have a new quarterback who's looking promising. They're going in the right direction

  • judging by your remark, you have less class than the incestuous rednecks you're lampooning.

  • What does my remark have to do with class? I'm defending a coach whom I have a lot of respect for. He's sent south carolina to 3 bowls in his 4 years there, compare that to how many they got before him. Thats my point, maybe his style is harsh, but he's having better luck than previous coaches and I wish the best for him and South Carolina. I fail to see how I have "less class..etc", you're the one judging my remarks on other videos as well.

  • it's one thing to tell me that i had the wrong program, but to say that spurrier is doing well is just moronic. also, give me back my jacket, asshole.

  • You're a complete moron, I hope you know that.

  • calling me a moron doesn't get me back my jacket. do the honorable thing and give it back.

  • Spurrier NEVER gets the most out of the talent that he has. Plus, it's easy to say that you still like a coach whos team you just massacred by about 40 points. He is an arrogant, overrated jerk. The only difference between him and Charlie Weis is that he isn't as fat and he never had to deal with acedemic requirements (excpept at Duke where recruited abismaly). Im not backing down from this. Steve Spurrier is the most overrated coach in college football history. I can't say that he doesn't

  • spurrier is great for Scar he is doin a hole lot better than lou holtz did and the team is still kinda young also we lack a fuckin qb and this was ellis johnsons first year as D-cordinator and done well so give it time GO Gamecocks

  • lol who is going to block for him?

  • As for his tenure at USC. What was USC's record the year before he cam? 6-5. What's his record this year? 7-5. WOW!!! What an improvement. not. Spurrier is an interesting media figure (because hes a jerk), but not a great coach. Look at what Houston Nutt has done in one year at Ole Miss with less talent. I have never seen a Steve Spurrier coached team beat a team that had more talent than they did. When they did play someone with more talent....well we all remember the 96 fiesta

  • What are you talking about? Spurrier has taken them to 3 bowl games in the past 4 years, before that they only made three bowl games from '94 - '01. That's definitely an improvement. SCar is 3rd in the SEC East and 5th overall. That's not too bad. I've been a Gator fan for many years and Spurrier did wonders for UF, we still admire and respect him. Will he do the same for SCar that he did for us or Duke? Probably not, but he HAS improved the program.

  • when did he ever beat a team that had more talent then Florida? Never. I literally mean he never did. He had the advantage of having the best recruits to choose from (because they were in his backyard) and he won one title and never had an undefeated season. The best team he had in his tenure got (well as I said earlier there is really no word for what happened) by Nebraska. He has not improved USC. He has given them more media attention, but they are no better.

  • by bringing in a bunch of his ex Florida players who absolutley stunk it up in the pros. Im not bitter, I loved it. But it did prove that he wasnt a great coach. In the 4 years after he left they went to the playoffs twice. They werent great, but they were better than they played under Spurrier. As for Duke, my dad went there and he always telles me how ironic it is that they rising even before Spurrier came and once he left they dropped off the map (maybe because he didnt recruit?)

  • As a Carolina fan I am excited to see what this young man can do in Columbia, but we have to get better line play for him to even be a factor!

  • Well I do agree with you on one thang and that's Spurrier is a (DAMN) good coach! and will go into the hall of fame. But like I said come next year. Vols will be ready to play a lot better than last ok!!!!!

  • Let me tell you all something. Jarvis Giles (who haha) we don't need you anyways we got David Oku bitches!!!! come next year be ready for that vols "D" to put you in check.

  • We didn't beat you badly enough this year Landon?

  • Nebraska has done nothing the past 10 years and tenn is going downhill esp with Kiffin as coach. The only problem with carolina's offense is the o line and qb situation. Garcia should help out a lot tho.

  • correct me if Im wrong but I believe we are in a New Years Day Bowl under a first year head coach with a 4/5 star QB coming in next year. We are also playing a team that is fresh off of blowing you out. Oh, and isn't this Spurriers 4th year with USC? Yeah, you guys are really rising fast

  • can't wait to see Giles in the garnet and black. GO GAMECOCKS!

  • I don't mean to pile on but he is also extremely egotystical and narcisistic. He coined himself the "ole ball coach" he repeatedly said "you cant spell citris (bowl gamefor the 2nd place sec team) without UT", insulted Peyton Mannings decision to return for his senior year, and started multiple ex Florida QBs in Washinton because under his opinion "other NFL coaches didn't know how to use them". Apparently neither did he. I dont mind USC but Spurrier is an overrated jerk

  • itself, and he lucked into a national title because of a weak year for college football in 96. In 95 he had arguably his best team ever and Nebraska (actually there is no word in the English language to describe what they did to Florida) his team. In 96 he even got the luxery of losing once in their national title year. The fact is that Steve Spurrier never overachieved with any of his teams. He is a porr motivator and unless he has by far the best talent on the field hes completely screwed.

  • Thomas, keep spewing your ignorance about Spurrier. He won an ACC title with Duke of all people. Florida was on probation and not a good football team when Spurrier got there. He calls himself head ball coach not ole ball coach. You seem bitter because he didn't win with your Redskins. The Redskins suck because of Snyder not because of any coaches. They've been a wild card team twice since he left? You don't know football if you think Spurrier isn't a hall of fame coach.

  • hmmm... Interesting point. Now let me tell you why youre wrong. First off, the probation was very insignificant and only affected the program for one year. Second, reguardless of what he calls himself, the fact that he has a nickname for himself shows his arrogance. Third, I hate the Redskins. If you had read my previous post you would have seen that I am a Steelers fan. I live in DC but I hate the Redskins, their fans, and everything about them. That being said, Spurrier screwed them

  • he's officially a gamecock.

  • I hope Jarvis chooses Carolina. I think that'd be his best bet if he wants early playing time. He'd easily see time within his first or second year. But I guess we'll see.

  • Reaves is a dick, he's been talkin shit about carolina and tryin to get carolina's recruits to go to tenn.

  • Yeah, it's between Tennessee and Carolina. Reeves, who was recruiting him for USC, left to join Kiffin's staff and has been talking shit to Giles ever since. But Florence, who recruited him for UT, is probably going to be let go and I read that's a big deal. If I had to put money on it, I'd say he's a Gamecock.

  • of course nebraska has a GREAT tradition, especially with the run game. I respect that, but the chance to play in the SEC on an up and coming program like so car. is good idea. Nebraska will be all right with running backs in this class though, oh and please beat clemson in the gator bowl!!

  • I have nothing against South Carolina but I also don't view it as an up and coming program. I believe that your record this year is similar to what it was in Spurrier's first year. I live in DC (although Im a Steelers fan) so I personally saw Spurrier set the Redskins back about 5 years while alienating its best player (Steven Davis) with his pattented fun n' gun offense. Honestly, I just dont think hes a very good coach. He was a product of being a coach at a school that can recruit for

  • Agreed 100%. Anyone who looks at South Carolina and sees an "upcoming program" has been in a coma for the last 3 years and doesn't realize that Spurrier's offenses have noticeably degressed.

  • Sorry man you are right he did drop Nebraska yesterday. That being said I still think that Giles is making the wrong decision by going to an inferior program (which Tennessee and South Carolina both are in comparison to Nebraska).

  • He officially dropped nebraska a few days ago man, it's neck and neck between usc/tenn. but signs point to usc.

  • i dont know where you are getting your facts but nowhere i have looked says he did. Unless you know him on a personal level (which I wouldn't believe even if you said you did), then I don't know how you have more insight into this then rivals, scout and espn. The most recent article I have seen he says that UT and USC have a slight edge, but once again that was before pelini visited him last night. Im not saying well get him but Nebraska is still one of his finalists

  • you guys are all wrong. He WAS verbally commited to UT. Also, he said that UT and USC had the edge over Nebraska BEFORE Bo Pelini had his in home visit with him last night. He will announce his decision between Nebraska, South Carolina and Tennessee tomorow.

  • hes verbally commited to tennessee smart asses

  • How do you know?

  • Giles narrowed it down to UT and USCjr. I'd gve the advantage to UT right now. He will announce on Tuesday.

  • gamecock lock.

  • I can't wait to see him in Garnet and Black next year! Go Cocks! We love you Giles!

  • 5 national titles

    46 conference championships

    The Tunnel Walk

    Memorial Stadium

Johnny Rodgers, Mike Rozier, Eric Crouch

    Bob Devaney, Tom Osborne

  • ENOUGH SAID

  • i mean kyle vanden bosch

  • I also think its hilarious how I got a negative mark onmy comment where I talk about Nebraska's graduation rate of athletes. It just proves what everyone already knows: SEC schools have no acedemics and are only concerned with football. Thats no way to live Jarvis. Go to a place where they make you something more than a dumn jock.

  • Finally, he is the perfect fit for Nebraska. We have Roy Helu who is a solid 5-10 yard back and who can carry the ball 20 times a game. What we need and could use right away is a guy that can carry the rock 10-15 times a game and can break loose at any time. Also, we are committed to running and he can come in and make an impact right away. At Tennesse he wont have the talent and both UT and USC are passing teams who dont have great lines. Nebraska is the perfect fit for Giles.

  • Not to mention that after Helu and Castille, the cupboard is pretty bare. Losing Jonas Gray after the mass exodus last year really, really hurt. Hopefully we land this kid, he looks like the real deal.

  • I disagree with you about jonas gray. I think he was really overrated to begin with, but he also didn't fill a need. We already have a great short yardage back in castille and a 5-10 yard guy (one cut downihll runnur type) in Roy Helu. Gray wouldn't have added another demension like this guy would. He would have been a solid player no doubt, but this kid has a chance to be the first playmaker we've had at Nebraska in a while.

  • I was talking more along the lines of the future. A Redshirted Gray this year would have him as a RS FR next year with Helu and Castille as Juniors next year. Talking more along the lines of a back of the future. As it is, landing this kid would ease that hole.

  • I kinda remember listening to that guy and he didn't seem like he would redshirt. So thats only one extra year, and there is no way he was going to be as productive as Helu has been this year. Giles has a chance to step in right away and be a playmaker.

  • IIRC he's redshirting at Notre Dame now.

I'm not saying that we needed Jonas and don't need Giles. I'm saying we have a hole at RB after Helu and Castille on the food chain, and need a bigtime back to fill it. Giles very well could be the guy, and I hope he comes to Nebraska.

  • raenglan- and the fact that you go to school with him doesn't exuse you being ignorant and having no knowledge of which football programs are the best. Whether he goes to Nebraska or not it is clearly the best school both acedemically and in terms of program prestige. Jarvis should go to Nebraska because the people in the state will always love him (i live in DC btw) and if he succeeds he will be a hero in that state forever. How many people know where Jamal Lewis went to college? Very few.

  • i may be ignorant but i do have a pretty good idea of which programs are the best. yall had your season in 97'no question. we had our season in 98'no question. what have you done since? we did have the worst season in school history this year but we'll be back. i live in tuscaloosa so what? you don't know how we do it at ut and same for me. i love how some people from nebraska feel that they are highly regarded nationally. i think not. tell me a big name from neb in the last ten yrs bro?

  • Eric Crouch=Heisman trophy winner in 2001

    now you go....

  • Peyton Manning > Eric Crouch

  • Tommie Frazier > Peyton Manning. Plus, you cant say that. Both QBs were great in college and they both lost their final games to great teams by large margins. Peytons prowess as an NFL QB is not a reflection of him at UT. He was a great college qb, he is an elite nfl qb, but he was not an elite college football players. Plus Crouch won a heisman trophy.

  • look i have no issue with tennesse. i have an aunt who went there. all im saying is that historically Nebraska is a much better program. also, we went to the title game in 01 and in the last 10 years we have had eric crouch, amahn green, correll buckhalter, stewart bradley, bo rudd, mike brown, kyle canden bosch ect...... Who has Tennessee put out. Look I have no issue with your program, all Im saying is that I think Nebraska is a much better fit for Giles. Plus you already have Oku.

  • thomasdm - no problem with nebraska. you more wins all time we have more championships. i'm not gonna debate who is the better program cause obviously we support our team. oh and from tennessee: john henderson, al wilson, chad clifton, peerless price, deon grant, albert haynesworth, parys haralson, jamal lewis, dante stallworth, jason witten just to name a few. giles wanted south carolina but when their recruiting coordinator came to ut he may want to be a husker. guess we'll see monday.

  • hes announcing tuesday. actually you claim 6 national titles but you only have 4 that were recognized by major polls (all 5 of ours are). I agree though I think UT has a great program. Here is what I'm saying: You already have a similar style running back (Oku)coming in and Kiffin is known as a QB coach. He likes to throw the ball more than run it. Also, giles said that acedemics were a big deal to him and Nebraska has more football acedemic all americans than any other school.

  • hahaha nebraska is rednecks. Thats laghable coming from the state with the country music hall of fame. is there anything more redneck than country music? no. like i said, he should go to nebraska because it has the best tradition (especially with running backs), best acedemics and best atmosphere of any of the stadiums. Even Giles said that Memorial Stadium was the loudest stadium he had ever heard.

  • this year he faked so many injuries this last season i wanted to see him play but he out cause he doesnt want to get injured before going to a college. i probably do the same but letting down your local fans that i wouldnt do

  • why would any recruit go to nebraska? middle of nowhere redneck mother fuckers. i go to school with jarvis giles. tennessee. nuff said.

  • Yikes. Just...Yikes.

  • why would you say nebraska is redneck mother fuckers when south carolina is the ONLY state that still flies the Confederate Flag ????? could that be a clue what state has more rednecks???? get a clue you ignorent mother fucker

  • nels11784-alabama is the only state that flies the confederate flag still buddy. actually when i came through seward, nebraska, this summer i saw one there too. i wasn't suprised. felt right at home.

  • Tennessee...HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Fucking joke! What happened to that program since coach Cutcliffe went to Duke? Downhill! Ask Peyton Manning, Leonard Little, Jamal Lewis, Al Wilson, etc. al. what happened when they went up against those "redneck mother fuckers"? Answer: THEY GOT OWNED!

  • rangerkav - what has happened at nebraska since tom osbourne left? not a whole lot. don't pull an alabama on me living back in 97'buddy.

  • What has Tennessee done? Nebraska has atleast been to national title games and Big 12 championship games since 97. Tennessee's program is not even remotely close to Nebraska's. You mention Alabama and yes they are a wayyyyy more significant program than Tennessee will ever be as well. Yeah I brought up the 97 game because that is the best team Tennessee has ever fielded, and they were bitch slapped all over the field. "Redneck mother fuckers"..ignorant, clueless, disrespectful prick!

  • rangerkav -Haha, great response, i loved reading it. we have played in three SEC title games. i mean at least we've won one more recently than yall. ohio state plays in a lot of national championships but i think they're overrated as hell. no one said that alabama wasn't more prominent all time than ut. they have 12, we have 6. 97' wasn't even close to the best team we've ever fielded so..invalid point. could u just keep on rambling aimlessly redneck, please.

  • As far as talent on the field 97' was your best team ever. But I get your point (our best team as far as talent was probably 83'). And dude youre from alabama so don't talk about rednecks.

  • hey, dumbass....Tennessee won the BCS National Championship in '98.

  • You then had Tee Martin and got blasted in 99 again by guess who? Nebraska. That 98 Tennessee team was nowhere close to the 97 team "dumbass." Fat Phil got slapped around every time he played NU! Those "redneck motherfuckers" as your buddy put it, owns that ass! Peyton Manning > Tee Martin. Your own fans even know you are spewing nonsense. Get off our nuts, jealousy is a female trait.....

  • raenglan- I also hope you know that you just called your new head coach a "redneck motherfucker." His dad Monte (now the NFL's top paid assistant) is from Lexington, Nebraska where he started his career in Lincoln as a D-coordinator. Lane Kiffin loves Nebraska football. Just know that Lane has more Nebraska in him than Tennessee. Thought you should know that.

  • yeah kiffin has a bit of a smug side and my guess is he rubbed jarvis the wrong way (similar to what he did to al davis). also, as i said earlier, nebraska just presents the best opportunity of the three schools for him.

  • Be smart Giles, go NU. The cocks just choked vs. Clemson and now you're going to see the Huskers come down and smack clemson in the mouth at the Gator Bowl. Best Fans, Better Tradition, Better Exposure, Tenn. is going down the toilet.....come to NU! AND GO BIG RED!

  • Fast but not a very physical-aggressive runner. o-Line makes him look better than he really is. I would not be to upset if he didnt go to NU.

  • As a Nebraska fan I'd be absolutely f'n STOKED if Giles chose NU. We haven't seen this explosive of a player in Lincoln since Crouch. That said, I think Kiffin may have done enough to keep him at UT..

  • He has said just recently that he likes NU and South Carolina better than UT. Sounds like NU or SC.

  • Saw that today. We may have a legitimate shot here...

  • i meant that spurrier will always be a passing coach. fun n' gun for life.

  • I bring this up not to be disrespectful because SC and UT are fine schools, but Giles said that acedemics is a HUGE priority for him. Nebraska has more acedemic all american football players than any other school and a 98% graduation rate of athletes. Finally, no team means more to the state then Nebraska. I went to a game once (I live in DC) and it was unbelievable. I had always thought Lane Stadium (VT Stadium) was impressive, but when I went to Memorial I was blown away.

  • UTVols16Manning- Boyd wont be going to tennessee because kiffin wont honor his scholorship. I also think this kid should go NU. Spurrier will always be a running coach. Plus, Nebraska is one of the top 3 schools in college football history for running backs. As for Tennessee, they already have David Oku and Kiffin has always been more concerned with quarterbacks. At Nebraska he could be the focal point in the offense within the first two years. Plus, Nebraska is the best school of the three

  • Giles and Garcia for SC next year?? UH OH!!!

haha hes not going to UT.... says hes probably going to SC.... god i hope so. Dayum this kid is good.

  • him and tajh boyd in the backfield at UT next year? UH OH!!! haha :)

  • Jarvis Giles: The pride of my alma mater, Gaither High School. This guy may be the best player to ever come out of this program, and that includes the county's all-time leading rusher, Lydell Ross.

It's amazing he did that well as the featured back on a team that had almost no passing game. And whether he goes to South Carolina or Nebraska (or Tennessee), he'll be very good at the next level with his great speed and durability.

  • Well hopefully he will come back to TENN. Lane Kiffin is trying to get him back as we speak do the right thing jarvis. And be a VOL!!!!!!!! recommit

  • I want him to be NU... but my gut feels he will be a cock!!! Its hard to get a southern boy from the south to come up north. Tenn. the dirty south!?!? I heard he decommited because they would make him cut his hair lol jk

  • sounds like Mr. Giles really enjoyed his trip to lincoln,,, and why not,,, there is no better place to focus on football AND academics

  • Giles de-commited soley from frustration from the TN coaching changes. But expect him to commit & an sign with the Vols on signing day once a new coach is declared....

  • visiting Nebraska on friday...

  • For your information he is also looking at the Huskers. I got to tell you Jarvis we could really use you next year.

  • That young man is going to be dangerous wearing the Garnet and Black and toting the rock for Steve Spurrier. A Star is born, others left forlorn, as Jarvis fulfills the Gamecocks prophecy and awakens the sleeping giant - thus Giles brings smiles for miles in the isles at The Billy Brice. When combined, in toto, with the remainder of Spurrier's legion, it is clear that the pieces are finally falling in place.

  • hope he comes to sc. he could make some noise here

  • Come tote that Rock up at SC......we need you man!

  • Hope you enjoyed the Arkansas game. We could use you man. Come on up to SC.

  • Jarvis, come on up to SC

  • bleed ornage
