When you neutralize the controls and drop the nose, the CG of the aircraft is moved towards the center of rotation which speeds up the spin (like an ice skater) temporarily until the aircraft comes out of the stalled condition.
it's nice to find a video with both inside and outside shots; most people just record it from the cockpit, but sometimes it's nice to see exactly what the plane's doing.

@t008er The aircraft is stable enough to recover from a spin without any input from the pilot if you have enough altitude.
