But when Charles Martinet took the audition, he thought it sounded too raspy for kids, so he had a more welcoming friendly voice instead at the audition, he was picked, and that's how we have the voice we do today(imagine if he WASNT picked 0_0.....)

This is technically not the Super Mario Bros. Super Show. The SMBSS was syndicated and was loosely based on SMB and SMB2. This is from a combined Super Mario World/Captain N show that was run on NBC Saturday mornings. It used the same voice actors and animation company, but it's a different show.
