  • lol, i love how smart people actually think that Ke$ha think through her songs. LOL - she doesn't.

  • Appalling.

The perfect example of Liberal Faux-Intellectualism at it's finest.

This kid on the left looks like he just wandered out of a commune for the New England upper-class seeking to become as detached from society as possible - Allergic to sunlight after years living solely off of wheat-bran and Dostoyevsky.

He has the look on his face of a babe in the woods of ironic humor, begging approval from the ragged cretin he aspires to be.

Oh look, I brought up onomatopoeia - love me Daddy!

  • I knew just from the title that this was either serious of comedic, and would be a good laugh either way, just for different reasons, turns out both guesses were half right.

  • Does this Ed Kelley fence?

  • @CBoyarD Yep. Ed, you're famous!

  • Snotty ironic liberal humor = not funny at all. The song is fucking retarded but at least it's catchy. Nykytyne2's prose version of Tik Tok blows this shitty video out of the water.

  • This interview would be like Abraham Lincoln discussing the intellectual merits of Sarah Palin.

  • This video is more insufferable than the song itself. An academic and some privileged fuck jerking each other off as to how elite they are. Please transmogrify everything there is about this show.

  • Great discussion...we are anxiously waiting for more critiques...Muldoon caught Ke$ha's King Lear's reference...impressive!

  • Ah, Princeton. Leave being funny to Stanford or something. Stick to poetry.

  • The only thing that was funny in this was referencing it to King Lear

  • O M F G. Please to more of these for more major artists. This was uber hysterical!

  • Oh my god this just made my day!

  • Too funny

  • lol a desire for deeper trashness

  • "i've tried being trashy" the only funny part

  • "well (clears throat) ... not really."

i wish i had that professor in college.

  • Right then, nothing left to do now but go and brush my teeth with a bottle of jack.

  • But most can't recognize that you don't need to be ultra-educated to be ultra intelligent. You can teach knowledge, you can't teach intellectual capacity.

  • Man these guys are boring...

  • you should also note that "crunk" is a portmanteau of "crazy" and "drunk"

  • She could be in China... lol

  • So she's in China?

She could be in China. She could be in China.

  • Onomatopoeia? quatrain? quintuplet? Genius, I say.

  • More proof the ultra educated have no idea how to be funny.

  • @Rounder2205 LOL. Now THAT'S what we call IRONIC!

  • @Rounder2205 Or proof that the ultra educated have a fantastic sense of humor. :D

  • @Rounder2205 Of course. you would have to be able to understand it to know it's funny.

  • @tcampbellla - Its actually not that funny, generally. Monty Python do this kind of stuff much better.

  • @Rounder2205 More proof that the ultra uneducated have no sense of humor is more like it. You don't have to be ultra educated to find this funny. As long as you're not a white trash hick who thinks Kesha is the greatest lyricist of the generation, it should be pretty easy to understand the droll satire that they're going for.

  • @Rounder2205 Lol at you for being an idiot xD

  • so jive

  • Oh what a twat... "junk is a boat... shes got a boat!!!" Enjoyable tongue in cheek video...

  • was muldoon in on it?? he seems too earnest... i don't think he knew what he was getting into :D

  • haha muldoon ya legend

  • Sarcasm is a beautiful at times...

  • Muldoon is hilarious here

  • lmao this is awesomee.

  • awesome...

  • haha I love this.

  • "Really, it's good, right?"

    "PLEASE."

This is one of the best things I've ever seen. :D

  • "but really, it's good, right?"

    "...please."

  • She could be in China.

  • @gideonse I don't get that part, why in China?

  • @shangsandy87 - A "junk" is a Chinese ship; I want to say junks were used during the Ming Dynasty in China, roughly 1400-1500's AD? They were huge compared to their European counterparts of the time, as they accommodated military equipment as well as served as treasure ships for maritime expeditions.

  • Wow, this was awesome.

Poets need to do things like this more often. I think it would really help to tear down that whole barrier of exclusivity a lot of people feel about poetry.

  • You are fantastic and so is your comment.

  • Oh, I love this...LOL

  • too funny! and i love that i can send this to my non-poet friends :) -jessie

  • so true.

  • BigNoseCrew - It's "friends, ROMANS, countrymen" don't forget them Romans, dude!

  • Oh my god, this is just brilliant.

  • love it!

  • phhh hahahahaahahahahaha

  • Awesome!! Paul Muldoon! Wha?? Keep it up!

  • fairly decent....

If you need a laugh come check out "Girl Scout Silver" "Hot Girl Gold" "Knicks Bronze" and "Zelda Silver" in my channel...enjoy

  • King Lear i lol'd so hard XD

  • kesha is one of the most influential lyricists right?

    well ahem... not really =p

  • who's kesha?

  • Jarringly real.

  • This is fucking brilliantly done

  • King Lear

  • What is the word he says at 3:08? Synectity? I've never heard it before.

  • @Stratoart "synecdoche"

  • @Stratoart You've never heard of a synecdoche?! It saddens me when people don't pay attention in English class! Literature and the exploration of literary elements can be really interesting if people would just give it a chance. =( (If you're still in middle school, disregard this comment. You'll learn in due time. =) lol.)

A synecdoche is the use of a part to refer to the whole. Like for example, when Julius Cesar says "friends, countrymen, lend me your ears".

And yes, I AM a dork!

  • @BigNoseCrew

You might be a dork, but you're obviously not a smart one...

It saddens me when people don't pay attention in English class and can't understand a joke.

  • This is possibly the best thing that has ever been recorded on video.

  • hahahahhha yeessss tig mag has been so awesome this year

  • 2:03 "Illiterate" Lol

  • Awesome vid!! Check out my videos!! Please subscribe!! Im hungry!!

  • ...if my English teacher saw this, she'd probably die... (that's not a synecdoche or a metaphor...or any of the other things, either...)

It's fun how everything has been taken out of context and they tell you just how trashy the song is...

  • LOL King lear!!

  • Haha @ 2:25

  • Not nearly as funny as what one would expect.

  • hahahhahaah

    hilarious :)

  • you guys need lapel mics!

  • truly excellent, well done!

  • Was this inspired by the Planet Money piece that featured Ke$ha and had an economist's analysis of her song?

  • I love dead pan humor and this was great.

  • Reference to King Lear. AHAHAHA

  • Wow. Didn't know Princeton had a sense of humor.

    GO YALE!

  • @MikeEggleston yea you can count george w. as your all star alum. enjoy that achievement.

  • Seems like the both of you tried really hard not to laugh. I thoroughly enjoyed this critique and look forward to any others if there are planned in the future!

  • incredible.

  • fantastic
