Nothing was banned from the Bible. The Book of Enoch was not canonized because it is not inspired scripture. Also, Enoch did not enter the heaven we think of as the place where God dwells. He was translated, which means taken into the sky and placed at a new location on the earth. You have to understand the words in the original language, and the Bible, to know this.

There's a big difference. The "Bible" did not exist until these inspired books were canonized. Some of the books you're thinking of are forgeries as well, such as Enoch II and the extraneous "versions" of Jasher - known to be forgeries because of their date and contradiction of INSPIRED scripture.

None of the Apocraphal books are inspired. Thus, they weren't canonized and rightly so. The Bible isn't a collection of religious writings, it is the collection of God's Word, inspired scripture, into a collection with a single cover. Nothing can be banned if it is not scripture, and apocrapha aren't scripture.

It wasn't a group of people writing it from new in a room with god whispering it to them or even inspired in a sense. For example read the KJ version along side the early Hebrew and Greek bibles. There vast differences in meanings of whole passages. So a lot could of not been inspired if any.

It was also one of the writings found in the Dead Sea Scrolls.

Timothy is a book chosen for the bible by men...Just because Phanuel wasn't mentioned in the bible doesn't mean he didn't exist. If you really wish to read or study the B of E, you should 1st study and read and listen to the Holy Bible before do so to teach you what God really has said 1st. Once you know the real truth of God, then the B of E will be interesting and amusing to read and fill you in on Hebrew folk lore to give you back grown of life in those days. There is no proof that the Book of Enoch existed before the 3rd Century and it may have been a configuration of several old books or writings that the Jewish priest had in their position but were never considered Inspired or holy because of claims in it that did not match what God had previously said in His OT books. The Bible is the Final Word in accepting what other writing say. When other writing conflict with GODS WORD, then those books are not considered Holy or Inspired. Enoch ain't one

The reason the Book of Enoch is not in the new Testament is because it is filled with things that do not match up with the rest of Gods Word and that is not logical to believe or are obviously incorrect. If a book did not agree with the rest of the known Gods Word then it was not accepted. It does not take much reading to see how off it is. No one is sure who really put Enoch together but it was not Enoch completely. There is no record of it before the 3rd century BC. It is not in the OT ether

The holy prophet Enoch is mentioned more that in one sentence (verse) of the OT; see: Genesis 5:18, 19, 21, 22, 23, 24, = 6 sentences. Enoch is also mention in the NT, Luke 3:37; Hebrews 11:5; & in Jude 1:14, where Jude directly quotes from the Book of Enoch. I will also mention that there are two Enochs n the OT, one is the evil son of that wicked Cain who murdered his brother Abel, Gen.4:17 (1 Jn.3:12)

Don't make any sense to me saying demons who are spirit beings cohabited with women who are flesh and had children. And I've heard ministers say these demons pressed themselves into flesh. The book of Enoch was banned from the bible we know today, i.e the New Testament around 400 ad when Emperor Constantine got together a council and decided which texts to use in the new "bible" Countless other texts were hidden and destroyed including Enoch. Nothing was banned from the Bible. The Book of Enoch was not canonized because it is not inspired scripture. Also, Enoch did not enter the heaven we think of as the place where God dwells. He was translated, which means taken into the sky and placed at a new location on the earth. You have to understand the words in the original language, and the Bible, to know this.

@123columbo123 There are none "banned". The books of the Bible were canonized based upon whether or not they are inspired scripture or not. None were banned, those which are scripture were compiled. There's a big difference. The "Bible" did not exist until these inspired books were canonized. Some of the books you're thinking of are forgeries as well, such as Enoch II and the extraneous "versions" of Jasher - known to be forgeries because of their date and contradiction of INSPIRED scripture.

@123columbo123 To understand your error, you need to understand that the books of the Bible are inspired. This means the Holy Ghost of God gave the words to righteous men who penned them. None of the Apocraphal books are inspired. Thus, they weren't canonized and rightly so. The Bible isn't a collection of religious writings, it is the collection of God's Word, inspired scripture, into a collection with a single cover. Nothing can be banned if it is not scripture, and apocrapha aren't scripture.

@NephilimFree I think you may have thrown off by the word banned, may be the phrase not chosen would be better. But I think you clearly misunderstand how the bible was composed. It wasn't a group of people writing it from new in a room with god whispering it to them or even inspired in a sense. For example read the KJ version along side the early Hebrew and Greek bibles. There vast differences in meanings of whole passages. So a lot could of not been inspired if any.

There were many books banned from the bible, in the 4th century AD, by of all people, ROMAN emperor- Constintine. They picked and chose which books would be "most fitting" into their religious text. In other words, they manipulated ancient historical accounts and rewrote them to fit their agenda. Anything deemed, "out of the box" or perhaps too informative, was removed.

They are essentially forgeries copied from older texts-chosen from many by Emperor Constantine in the 4th cen AD. Additionally, throughout history countless texts have been destroyed. The book of Enoch is a SCAM. In chapter 106 Enoch describes Noah as an alien.. The book of Enoch is different from the Apocryphal books. The other Apocryphal books are more stories that wisdom. I have read the Book of Enoch, it would explain a lot. But does it edify God? That is the true answer and Its got to be read. i don't think without its existence the gift of salvation would be misunderstood, clearly the Bible has a consistent message about Jesus and Gods justice and Righteousness.

Well if it was written in the 2nd century it had no business in the Bible. Enoch lived circa 4000BC, so if the book of Enoch was written 6000 years later then it sure wasn't written by Enoch. I think the Book of Enoch was written long before what you say my friend. Because both Jude (Not Iscariot) who was a disciple of JESUS quotes from it, and Peter another disciple wrote about the fallen angels and their punishment in 2Peter2:4&5.

Some have noted Jesus' referencing to the Days of Noah (cf. Matt. 24:37-44). But there the parallel is made to the swiftness and extent of this judgement. Likewise the wicked would be destroyed/removed and the righteous would remain. The time limiting statement (Matthew 22:34) does not place the event into our future but rather into the generation of those then and there to whom He was then speaking. Nothing of angelic impropriety is mentioned or infered.
