Notice the word "a soft-war" - actually fighting someone when children. This teaches your children that even as Adults there could be harder wars to fight - if they help deliver others from evil men. Such the case with Hitler. Your teaching is flawed.
If we had no 'wars' we would not be able to understand what Jesus was saying in Luke 14, we would have no reference. In War you need to be willing to let "all" your soldiers die if that's what it takes to win the battle - like Nations coming against Hitler (it was do or die) but if you do not count the cost you will never hear Jesus' Words here. Jesus was not against War, He uses 'War" as a teaching tool about being His Disciples. Which one day I pray you are-so COUNT T/COST.
