used to be in an all girl pop/rock band called "TOUR DE FORCE" with her sister Bernice who sadly passed away and a singer called Carol Stoker, used to see them regularly at the Round house Canning Town East London, around 1978/79 ish.
Anyone remember them from that time, songs like "Megolamania" still have a couple of the 7" singles by the band!
Fantastic! Deirdre's an amazing player, and it's great to hear her paying homage to Emily Remler in this way. More players need to know about them both!
Really nice playing. The only thing I wish they would have done differently was to stand up so that the brunette guitarist would have been playing to the audience rather than to the lefthand side of the stage. Plus it just would have enhanced their presence generally.
The woman on the right had a very nice pick and fingers attack. Very smooth and she elicited some very pleasing tones out of the strings.
Deirdre and Kathy evoke such beautiful, haunting color tones with their spin on one of Em's favorite Clifford Brown Covers. I'm blown away by the revelations revealed about the song with the presence of two jazz guitars. Delightful. We definitely need some album releases from this brilliant British duo in the near future! Play on Ladies.
I've just discovered them! great!! which guitars are they using?

Not to sound dense, but is this the same Deirdre Cartwright from Rock School? This is guitar playing at its finest: phrasing, tone and emotion.
