itis real. One singer famous in Russia asked him to sing to her live. He did that. And then she believed his voice we hear in songs is real.

but another singer in Russia claimed he asked Vitas to sing live, and uploaded so-called soundboard recordings on his website where the singer sounded awful. Some of it was definitely Vitas but he's just speaking out the lyrics in a TV performance where he's supposed to lipsync. Novikov just dubbed it over a live soundboard and combined with a fake singer.

The disgusting acts some ppl do. But it's disappointing Vitas sounds like that when he's not performing live.

@RussWithLove unfortunately some of it IS Vitas :( it's nearly an exact match to when Vitas performed in Qingdao China 2008. He BS-ed the whole performance and sang badly over playback.

@RussWithLove don't worry though, I still KNOW Vitas sings live, I saw him in concert and he sang perfectly without the microphone. There are some videos on YouTube where he does that but he sounds bad (due to microphone quality and theater acoustics).

whatever, if Vitas can sing live, he can sing badly if he wants.

@RussWithLove part of it IS fake though, it's a mix of Vitas voice from a performance where he was SUPPOSED to lipsync and an impersonator. He saves his voice for live performances. He also sings some songs "badly" to save his voice in concerts (a crooning style) but it isn't that bad.

Vitas sings a lot of great Russian songs Swan's Faithfulness, originally performed by Sofia Rotaru and Evgeniy Martynov, Ptitca schastya (Bird of happiness) was performed earlier by Nikolay Gnatyuk, Zima (Winter) by Eduard Hil, Three White Horses etc. I think its good. Enjoy plz!

I like some of his songs, but not this one. Vitas has got very nice voice, but this song is not good enough in his performance, a lot of people who knows Russian well admit this point. Probably its OK for you just because you dont understand thoroughly meaning of this song. Anyway its good that Vitas make this great song popular for bigger audience.

I dont agree with you. Sadly, that foreign people listen this beautiful song in such awful performance and think its normal. Where is deep sense? Where is inner world? Where is inner pain? Vitas killed them all in this song, just added needless squeal and spoiled it. He sings this song worse of all who ever sang. Its better for him to sing Opera # or something like that, but not Swan faithfulness.

Vitas writes many of his song, but this one is not written by hime.

The composer is - Е.Martinov, and the lyrics - Dementiev. Sofia Rotaru also sang it, but Vitas is better!

HE writes his own songs, both music and words, but this one was by a famous Russian composer Evgeny Martynov (Евгений Мартынов), who was very talented, unfortunately he died in his forties. This song in particular made Martynov famous.
