If you have the other admin account than you can reset the main administrator password. If you don't have the other admin

account than you can use the reset disk.

If you don't have the reset disk than you can use software called Password Resetter. The Main Purpose of this software is to

remove windows password. You can get the software from

in vista you dont have to goto safe mode you can just click ctrl alt delete 21 times

it works on windows 2 and then type the name of the account you want and your init

the reason it doesn't work is because the computer is setup right and there is already a password on the admin account.

this only works if there is no password assigned to the admin account

If you're running in Windows 7 and you are the first account made when you get your computer you're automatically ADMINISTRATOR it will even say when you log in or view your account info it will say ADMINISTRATOR and if you have a password it will say password detected now this is for any WINDOWS OS that is Windows XP and Higher anything lower then XP such as Windows 2000 or windows ME or Windows Professinal this makes sense.

This only works for Windows XP because in Vista, the Hidden Administrator is disabled, but you can enable it. Click the account named "Administrator" while in safe mode, and go to Control Panel and upgrade your account to Administrator. When I type net user on cmd, it says that administrator wasn't there. And sure enough, it was true. Instead it was Gary and Garyxu, which were password protected.
