  • In regards to charting, I feel behavioral charts have their utilty, but need to be constantly monitored to keep it fresh, if it feels like its is gatting stale, change it up, be spontaneous. Last point on charts, they dont really work for adolescents, gotta be more clever with ways to reinforce positive behavior.

  • I am a Child/Family Therapist myself and it sounds to me you have gotten some good advice. Boundaries and appropriate roles are always issues that inevitably come up in family therapy. And you are very wise re: your understanding of anxiety. All too often I have extremely anxious parents who cannot appreciate how easily their child picks up on their anxiety and inherits it for themselves.
