  • Space will bring us ALL together!!!! what an incredible Achievement!!!!

There is nothing on earth that could ever evoke a sense of being.. that space travel conveys!

******* Thumbs up if you want to go to space !!!! ********

  • The mere physical possibility of this makes life worth living for me

  • If I had the money. I would. Anyone giving grants?

And Richard: put some handholds in your elegant spaceplane. :)

  • 5 minutes? For 200k? Not in this lifetime.

  • I love the concept but paying 200k just to be in space for a few minutes is ridiculous. Now, if there was some sort of space station where you could stay for even just a day then it would definitely be worth it(the more time, the more it would be worth it).

  • costs 200K but i would so pay that! :D

  • Super!!!

  • It would be nice, of course, if you have already recorded your own Virgin Music to entertain and amuse your passengers Richard. Meteor Rock N Roll would be a great Hit down here, safe travels to the making of Aviation History.

  • so since this is virgin galactic will my virgin mobile usa phone work in space.

  • If i go im gonna be like SPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACE!

  • this is going to be one scary ride

  • If I just have the money to buy the ticket.....

  • A always thoght Virgin would come with idea as sir Richard Branson has no funding from Goverment Sources and is leading Tecnology Bissness quit Fastasdic indeed. Allways remeberd for this and other creations like Virgin Trains and Records and Space Travel. Great to see this great optunitie.

  • Only Question a have is about space traval will get cheaper to go to space in years to come and would you be able to fly into space and go to Australlia or Europe Destanations rather than waiting on plane more than 4 hours when can be there in 1 hour if get correct angle for right contry.

  • If I win Euromillions tonight I'm taking all my family on this.

  • On the wbsite it says its a 3 and a half hour round trip

  • A nice dream

  • That is so gay what a waste of money Richard bronson more like Richard nonsan

  • @shawn205504

Retard. 200k to make an entire orbit the around the earth; free floating in space for 90 minutes.

Space tourist before this one had payed 30 million dollars EACH!

  • @shawn205504 Dude just someone have to do this work, it's just the beggining

  • ok im in, I quit smoking and spare the money instead.

  • Sir Richard Branson is definately a visionary. I get the feeling Virgin galactic will be a huge success. If i ever get the money for a ticket, i would definately give it a try or maybe 2.

  • @dasautomega i wouldn't the flight is suborbital which means the whole spaceflight only lasts for 3 minutes is that really worth the money.

  • So is this ever going to be affordable to normal folks like myself??? I am not and never will be rich, but damn I want to go so bad, been my dream ever since I visited Nasa at age 7.. If I went today, I could die happy tomorrow!!

  • @rocketman1179

100 years ago, in 1910, most people thougth like you while seeing a automobile. Today - can you afford to drive a car, just for 1 hour? If you don´t have any money, can you afford to drive around the block for 5 minutes? And yes, if you think you will never be rich, you will never be. If you think you are rich, you will be. Look at Richard Branson, the man behind Virgin Galcatic. Read his story! He has dislexia, he left school with in the age of 16 without any degree...

  • @limelite123 WOW, very good points man, never thought of it that way before, just anxious i guess, I really want space flight to be available for everybody to try at least once, and I absolutely admire Richard for laying the foundation, I am soon as flights start going up and doing well that others will come out the woodwork, hell, they already are, just so expensive, I think we could all learn some lessons from Sir Richard Branson, he is truly my idol.anyway thank U for the words of inspiration

  • @rocketman1179, in 1910 driving a car was also expensive, and today? Believe me, if your growing old enough, and modern medicine is fffaaarrr better than 1910 and going better and better every day, you will fly. Train your body AND your brain and chances to become older 100 years easily are good.

Greetings from Nuremberg, Germany (which excuses my incorrect english a bit, i´m out of training, mea culpa)

  • Screw this, Bronson needs to invest in Inverse Gravity Vehicles invented by John Searl. Man could go so much further!

  • I'd sell my life to experience this. I'd be homeless yes, but a homeless astronaut :)

  • @EinkOLED It's only 200.000$ :D

  • This is majesic...

  • man kind have come so far...

  • o.O locoo

  • Dear All,

I have some questions about psychology:

    (1) Why do we love flying?

    (2) why do we enjoy space travel?

    (3) Why do we want to design and to build new spacecrafts for commercial space travel?

    (4) Why do we enjoy the feeling of zero gravity?

    Best Regards,

    Applesweeter.

  • I should have prepared for this flight 10 years ago!!! (smiles)

  • I want to go! and I'd like to be part of this project in someway.

    You make me dream.

  • LoL..Note the 'perfect' Ken & Barbie ROBOT KLONED 'human' Bodies are Identically Featureless & as uniform as the space craft...only an Engineer would 'design' this.

  • ill pay $10,000

  • @PartnerTutorials.... If thats so I believe the Japanese are coming up with their own version and will be selling seats for as low as 10 grand so save your pennies LOL. just what i heard, not sure if true or not.

  • if i go im gonna make sure to say

my god its full of stars

    and

open the pod bay doors please hal

  • The space shuttle has taught us that the laws of physics demand a capsule for safe re-entry. Is there something new in this design? Looks like a lot of places for hot gases to build up.

  • Hi Slack. You needn't worry. The Virign Galactic craft is a sub-orbital vehicle; hence, it's never subjected to the temperature extremes experienced by the space shuttle. In fact, it needs heat shielding only on its nose and wingtips, unlike the shuttle which needs heat shielding on its entire underbelly. The new design feature you asked about is the craft's ability to change its wing configuration, which enables it to automatically right itself upon descent (like a badminton shuttlecock).

  • Ok, I'm starting to understand it now, thx

  • So is it really a spaceship? Yeah it goes into space but it's not really designed to be able to handle going far into space like the crafts of science fiction. At best this will provide a lot of funding for scientific research but I doubt it will launch real spaceflight

  • Read up an "ballistic coefficient". Space Shuttle is a brick. This is a ping pong ball.

  • ty!

  • when is the first flight for and how much for a ride?

  • 200,000 US and i think 1st flight by end of year

  • thanks for hte info OK

  • Did you have so much money?

  • Awesome! Can't wait to book a ticket
