  • Their music is timeless.

  • best version live i have heard

  • without a doubt, the greatest singing group ever.....

    would rate:

    1 Bee Gees

    2 Beatles

    3 Rolling Stones

  • According to Maurice, this song was one of Princess Diana's favourites.

    Rest in peace, dear Princess.

  • Pure genius

  • the 80's rock and anyone who was lucly to live in them1

  • the best ever

  • great melody..NOone can capture emotions like the BEE GEES

  • i love beegees i wish barry was my d@d

  • @amr7037 I wish Robin were my paramour!! :=)

  • so many legends here great performane i love beegees

  • they are some bad ass drums. If only i was only old enough to see this i was 1.

  • Love it love it love it

  • these guys are fantastic ...the way they can perform live..cant compare with the new guys on the block.

  • 1988, you mean.

  • Great to see Jack Westawood playing so well!

  • I love this song! I think I was born 20 years too late :p

  • PHILL COLINS AND BRIAN MAY!

  • Nice to see this song with totally live vocals, as opposed to the more recent (aka late 90s) performances.

  • BeeGees, Midge Ure, Brian May, Howard Jones all at once -oboy!! :-))

  • Lovely song van The Bee Gees!

  • Those guys seem like great people. it is a shame some people started thinking they were assholes after they walked out on Clive Anderson. Anderson is the one who was being rude. lovely song. One of my faves from these guys.

  • @SweetSesatia Clive Anderson was the tosser and had Channel Four up his arse and was considered cool at the time. The Bee Gees put up with alot before they walked. Barry has an ego but he is one of the good guys in the business and has more talent than Clive Anderson will ever have. He gets ridicule because people forget all the great songs that play everyday on the radio, that he gave away. This is a beautiful song, great lyrics.

  • Who hasn't Phil played with????

  • the three part harmony at 2.44 makes me weep! Great bass by Mo!

  • Wishes they'd release the whole show on dvd

  • I Love this song.

    This is very good stuff!

  • Loving Robin!!

  • @tweetylies That soulful VOICE!!

  • The tambourineplayer in tzhe middle looks like..

    MICK KARN!?!?!? :))

  • Did Collins and Brzezicki play any other Duets on this show???

  • champions !!

  • MEMORABLE!!!!!!!

  • best rendition of this song in my eyes

  • Love the Bee Gee's,great drummer on there ;) mr Mark Brzezicki(Big Country)

    cheers.

  • If you look closely you'll find Phil Collins playing drums aswell

  • @snoozingphil Hey-- good eye! I didn't even notice.

  • @alabhaois Theres even Brian May playing guitar also

  • @jsuffolk1972 AND Mr. Phil Collins. Both at the same time...

  • @jsuffolk1972 AND Phil Collins!! :)

  • Nothing can be better than this!!!!!!!!!!!!LOVE them!!

  • This is just so good!

  • Why is it that Robin Gibb do that thing where he covers his ears whenever he sings?

  • So he can hear himself better.

  • He does that to block out the sound of whoever is standing closest to him so he can hear what harmony he's singing is in key...many times you'll see people that're standing close to each other singing...it's for that reason alone!!Hope i was of some help!!Great track...A+

  • Brilliant!

  • yes, I love ROBIN "you win again"

ROBIN you are simply the best for me !!!!

    again,again !!!

  • Legands .... pure magic!

  • Simply the Bee Gees is the no. ONE!

  • Simply the best lah!

  • is that phil collins on drums

  • yes it is

  • Wow - never noticed that. Is that Andy Bown on keyboards?

  • I think its Howard Jones.

  • Guess they didn't have their tight pants on that day - a great performance nontheless.

  • two drummers...yeah...great phil collins

  • Absolutely brilliant , They are so talented and how nice to see Princess Diana having a heap of fun.

  • Could someone confirm? Was this set televised in the Albert Hall by Tyne Tees Television, and covering a much larger set of acts such as Elton John and Eric Claptons 'All Star' Band etc. I have always searched for this on video or dvd.

    yours

    Roger

  • yes, it is, from 1987. Phil Collins, Bee Gees, Brian May, Eric Clapton, Elton John, etc. Donno if it is the same set as 1986, that had also McCartney, Peter Gabriel, etc.

  • Great to see this, but it looks/sounds to me like they are lip syncing &/or singing along with the studio track. Anyone know for sure if this performance was truly live?

  • It was really live

  • This is definitely live, and it proves the strength and integrity of their voices that they can sound every bit as good on stage as they do on their records.

  • just incredible

  • It's amazing that these brothers can be THIS talented. This performance has to be the best version of this song they've ever done. Breathtaking!

  • This is just so good. I'll be doing stuff around the house and have this in my head. I go to watch and can't help playing it about 3 times each time. It feels good with the way everyone is having a good time in the audience.Thank you very much for sharing this.

  • they are the legends no matter what....its the BEEGEES

  • Check out Mick Karn and the two ladies with a tambourine.

Is that Howard Jones on keyboards?

  • 3 min 25 secs in - Royal Box far right ....fergie?

  • Maybe?!? But isn't that Princess Diana in the box dancing and clapping briefly toward the end? I think it is!

  • ace song and so very true

  • The Bee Gees backed by Brian May, Midge Ure and Phil Collins? I thought such a thing was impossible! Thanks for this, this is cool!

  • No wonder Mo was wearing a hat his convertible top was stucked open :-)

  • This is June 1988 at the Princes Trust Concert, Royal Albert Hall, London! I know this coz I was there!

  • @jykaye LUCKY!!!!!!!

  • Yep, 1988.

  • yes i win again i love this song i can relate the real meaning of this!!!

  • this is "the prince's trust rock gala" 1988. Incluying: Midge Ure, Phil Collins,Mick Karn,Eric Clapton...

  • the beats slower and a better version

  • this video seems to be of 1987... And it isn't High Civilization Tour anyway.

  • This off the High Civilization Tour?
