Idiots ruined it! I thought the color was from Michaelangelos time and was like WOOOOOOOOOOW looks so new... Now I made my research and I am NOT HAPPY AT ALL! :)

While the restoration brought back some of the lost vibrancy of the original painting, I agree with the critics who claim that it also removed the carbon black paint Michelangelo used in the shadow areas of many of the frescoes after the plaster had dried to give them the depth which is now lost in the "pastel" washed-out restoration.

but can't they restore it back? we have plenties of photos of the original painting, they can always add the shadows back imho...
