The sad thing is, Marlon Wayans can be a good actor when given a chance. Watch Requieum for a Dream to see a good performance from him. The movie is totally depressing, it's like being punched in the face while the fist has salt on it. But still, it's a good, well acted film. He really should do more dramatic films because he's not bad at it.

Jeremy Irons was not overacting!!! He was taking his role seriously!!! Yeah, the dialogue and script wasn't an Oscar-worthy one, but he does his best to make the movie somewhat good (plus he makes a good villain).

I admit, this is one of my guilty pleasures along with the Street Fighter movie.

Upon watching the deleted scenes of this movie, i found that they made the movie make more sense and actually (if you can believe it) would have helped make it a better film had they been there XD The alternate ending with Snails staying dead is also more powerful and not nearly as random and strange as the one they picked XD all in all the deleted scenes would have made this a much "Better" film XD

Underacting vs. Overacting indeed. And both taken to the extreme. Irons acts like he's on the world's ultimate cocaine bender, while Birch says her lines with all the energy of a DMV clerk on Monday morning.

I tend to side with Irons, however, because he's at least having fun and his overacting is so perversely awful that it's hypnotizing. Birch just looks like she's waiting for her check to clear before running for the hills.
