  • @DavidHaynes24 agreed i though this was gonna be good but it was terrible

  • @DavidHaynes24 your inteligence is too low for you to understand...

  • @DavidHaynes24 Did you read the graphic novel first?

  • you cant see it anywhere else! exept for youtube...

  • Roshach's voice reminds me of the guy from Sin City....

  • Roarshak = The broke Batman

  • Sounds like Batman...

  • Rorschach's journal October 12 1985, Dog carcass in ally this morning, tire tread on burst stomach. this city is Afraid of me, I have seen its true face. the streets are extended gutters and the gutters are full of blood and when the drains finally scab over, all the vermin will drawn. The accumulated filth of all their sex and murder will foam up about their waist and all the Whores and Politicians will look up and Shout "Save Us!"... and I'll look down and whisper ..."No."

  • @fsfsfsfsfsfsg did you really expect people to read all that when they just heard it?

  • @Male125 pretty much....

  • @fsfsfsfsfsfsg actually i read it so yeah

  • @Male125 haha, the its just weird of you to be complaining, but all I meant is that I love that phrase Best Intro phrase in history!

  • @fsfsfsfsfsfsg it really is i read the book recently and i cant stop rereading rorshachs journal entries

  • @Male125 yeah ikr :P!

  • the thing is about rorshack, i like him but he isnt a superhero

  • Rorschach had throat cance just like Batman... what a waste of character!!!

  • how do you murder someone who's "indestructable"? seems like a waste of time to try.

  • This is fucking bad-ASS

  • rorschahc's voice is soo similar to snakes from solid gear

  • Rorschach is an incorruptible psycho-path... and that makes him Bad-ass

  • Rorschach is too much like batman,,, well his voice...

  • wow it's EXACTLY like the graphic novel

  • @palbo4 not exactly i mean there are a few things rearanged but yeah the script is pritty much just the novel. but its a fantastic job fairplay. they got it done fantasticly.

  • I loved this fucking moveh!

  • the movie is here /watch?v=fjpKqa41GzE

  • this movie was weird

    superheroes having sex

    it looks strange

is not like when i watch porn at redtube.com

  • @yahir95 you forgot rorchach murder criminals and kill them

  • at 2:15 this voice is like batman :P

  • leatherface has return

  • Night owl is a rip off of batman

  • @bleachno1fan lol i know, and batman is way a better fighter than him

  • @bleachno1fan It's supposed to be that way, that's where the inspiration came from

  • @bleachno1fan He's a rip off of Owlman actually.

  • i've never seen this movie, but the voice for rorschach is perfect for him

  • when i watch this again i keep saying to my self why does he sound like the new freddy krueger oh wait

  • Wait a second. This WAS in the movie, Zack.

  • this movie is the best of movies like superman batman .......

rorschach is so good without him this movie sucks

  • This movie can suck my ass!!!

  • i shall go tell the indestructible man that someone plans to murder him lmaoo

  • Rorschach is the bomb I just hated it at the end of the movie he exploded

  • just fyi, the graphic novel is truly outstanding. i read it somewhat recently, and it's composition has few if any parallels in literature (that i have read)

  • all the politicians will look up and shout 'save us' and ill whisper 'no' ... love this movie so much :D

  • i made my own rorschach mask with black and white tights for halloween.

    I was so proud :D

    (I'm a girl. Yes, i love Comics)

  • yeh he started to belive rorschach and him are two differant people. because he had a horrible child hood.

  • this movie is just the shit. love this movie so much. *nerdcrush*

  • Rorschach is actually a therapy treatment; I'm sure all of you are familiar with the procedure, but very little the name of it. Rorschach is actually when the therapist has index cards with ink blots on them and you have to tell the nice man what you see when you look at the ink-blotted cards.

Notice the mask of Rorschach is ink-blotted.

  • What's his power(s)?

  • he doesnt have any. he just kicks ass.

  • Sweet :)

  • Great film.

  • It's Rorschach.

  • rorshakes the only realistic hero that dosnt fuckin shoot webs from his wrist of throw bombs from there ass, hes just plain bad ass

  • yes i couldnt agree more. sept his mask that kinda unrealistic. but at least he hasnt got any super strength ect....

  • night owls a faggit roshake is the shit

  • The night owl was based off of batman. Neither have any real powers, and both rely on their tools, and the night.

  • @henekishi

Batman and nite owl are not the same. Because that would just be stupid, why would dc comics make two characters that are similar? For one batman is young and nite owl is older. And two nite owl is not a ninja.

  • Rorschach is badass, and my favorite character. But I disagree with his views.

  • Seligsuper: but don't you think he was right in taking care of the killer of that girl?

  • Not exactly, in the movie he brutally killed him. The guy was begging him not to kill him, and let him go to jail.

  • Seligsuper: I know. I saw the movie.

  • Ooops I meant Christian Bale

  • Haha wow! That's not Christian bell u smart one

  • i like rorschach he kick ass in this movie!!!

  • @ladyyuna2000 Sadly, he's one of the huge reasons I even wanted to watch this film. Didcha know he's slightly based off of The Question and Batman?

  • @SystemofaDowndrugy

No, Night Owl is based on Batman. But, Rorschach is based on Question.

  • @ladyyuna2000 Nah, he Kicks ass in the Novel!!!!1

  • It seems like Christian Bale found some new work!!!

  • If you think it sounds like Christian Bale, then you must be deaf! :)

  • @Euratsa Actually it DOES sound a lot like Christian Bale's batman voice, so i can understand why someone would say that...

  • so is rorschach like the main badass? like the main character? because it seems the whole movie revolves around him

  • He narrates most of the graphic novel and movie. Dr. Manhattan and others have small bits.

  • @Bradsworld1 The movie follows him, but there's no single main character

  • @Bradsworld1 Actually, Rorschach is a 'Narrator' because he narrates the story. You couldn't decide a main character, all the people you see frequently throughout the movie are the main characters, so Silk Spectre 2, Dr. Manhattan, Rorschach, The Comedian, Ozymandias and Night Owl 2. They all have equal and important parts in the movie, hoped that answered your question (:

  • @Bradsworld1 The Novel does, the movie hell I dont know!

  • @Bradsworld1 The movie and the graphic novel revolve almost equally around the four characters (Nite Owl, Silk Spectre II, Rorschach and Dr.Manhattan), but all in all I'm gonna say that the main characters are Rorschach and Manhattan.

  • great great film

  • what the douche?

  • Being right wing does not mean blindly serving your country. It does not mean being an insane killer.

By a similar token I could say that all liberals just want to do any evil if it promotes their cause and country. It explains everything and nothing.

The Comedian killed a pregnant woman in cold blood. A real "rightwinger" would see that as a sign that the Comedian should have a hand saw put to his neck. I don't buy the Comedian and Rorschach as allies.

  • Calling watchmen a batman ripoff is like calling saints row a zelda rip off. It was probably said just to start a fanboy reaction.

  • Isn't the comedian someone that Rorschach would have killed anyway. just saying.

  • Only Alan Moore would know...

  • maybe if he knew who he really was and what he really did but i doubt he would ever find out without him being killed first. Then again maybe Rorschach would agree with some of the things he did because he did alot of them for his country (i could be wrong but he was pretty right wing)

  • I think the "batman ripoff" was in reference to Rorschach's voice. He sounds similar to Batman in The Dark Knight when he's trying to disguise his voice. Obviously anyone who has read Watchmen knows it PWNs Batman (it pains me to admit this as I am a Batman fan, but Batman isn't on anyone's list of best books, ever, so...), but is in no way similar.

    Just saying.

  • Batman was first though, you have to give him credit for that. I dont think his voice was meant to sound like batmans though (i should say christian bale's actually) but just badass and mysterious. It wasnt nearly as annoying at least.

  • if you want to find the full version of watchmen online for Free, and thousands of other films - check out watchtvonlinefree . org(without spaces) I use it and it's totally free and goood :)

  • loved the book. <3 alan moore.

    rorschach best character.

  • So, correct me if I'm wrong; does Rorshach have, like, super agility or what?

  • He has no powers but he still does things a normal person couldnt do because its a comic book universe. The punisher doesn't have powers but sometimes (i guess it depends on the writer) he does things that a normal person couldn't do. I guess hes just a badass in general.

  • @whiteplataeuCEO nope he just a normal guy with a prostitute for a mother

  • this has got to be one of the coolest movies ever

  • this is a good movie but what the fucks it about rosarch is awsome

  • Fcuking Batman rippoff!

  • dude, there both from DC comics.

  • how the fuck is it a batman ripoff? please, explain this to me. have you even read the book? or are you just talking out of your ass? are you just assuming it's a batman rip off because of nite owl's costume? please grow a fucking brain, read the book, and realise that you sound absolutley retarded right now.

  • Yeah because that Nite Owls costume. what else? it looks the same as Batmans costume. thats a total ripoff

  • @Tatresia dude you are blind as fuck to think that nite owl's costume looks anything like batman's

  • @aidzo5999 No sorry, actually you'd be pretty dumb. Before I knew anything about Watchmen, and I saw the trailer, I thought Nite Owl was a sharper (and odd) depiction of Batman. They do have their differences, (*cough* Nite Owl's looks better *cough), but they are a bit similar.

  • @Henekeshi i geuss it dos sound pretty and also merry christmas eve

  • im just gonna guess that the "batman knock off" because roarschach sounds like batman in the newer batman films as for night owls coustume the dark knights costume is so different from night owls

  • thanks

  • most amazing movie i've ever saw, full of action, gore and everything else, and rorschach kicks ass

  • claygt1966

    you SPOILER!!!! omg~~

  • It was really close to the Graphic Novel except the ending...

  • oh yeah! well noticed :)

  • hard not to the smartest man in the world makes a friggen alien and blames it on the alien

    "alien"

  • HA! Movie Error! The grapple hook was at the base of the railing not the ceiling!

  • Rorschach and The Question would be the best DC team up!

  • Rorschach goes well with anythinng. He's the perfect antihero.

  • I really liked this movie....I hated to see Rorschach get killed

  • It's what he wanted!

  • I havnt read the book. Y does his mask change.

  • Rorschach is named after the Rorschach Test. You know the ink blots they make people look at and say "What do you see?" That's where it comes from.

  • The graphic novel explains how the mask works: basically the material is viscous fluids (like what you find in a lava lamp) between two layers of latex.

The fluid are heat and presure senstive but shifts with the contorts of Rorschach's face.

The fluids however always remain seperate, never mixing mixing into grey.

Its this last part that Rorschach finds "very, very beautiful" since it materialises his desire for a morally certainity, without comprimise in a morally blank world.

  • that was very very well explained

  • It wasn't released in 3d - sorry you can't tell the difference lol

  • i wasn't able to see it in theatres because it's rated R. :( but i will get it on DVD and watch it. It looks really good, it probably wouldve been awesome to see it in theatres though.

  • yeah same here i wish i coulda seen it when it was in theatres, ahwell theres always the internet :D

  • just go buy the movie at walmart its like 20$

  • the thing is, i'm not allowed to watch it -_-...

  • that's because your young

  • yes, yes it is :D

  • did rorshach know he was in the comedians apartment before he finds the comedians costume and gear?

  • amazing movie

  • Why is Rorshacks (I think I spelt that right) mask changing like that?

  • Sorry bud, but, you're way out of your element.

  • I just noticed that it changes yesterday Ive read the book I just didn't notice

  • it changes in the book, it even says why it does

  • Rorschach is actually the name of the person who developed the ink blot test, so it's just a steaming vat of irony right there, even more so that he is given an ink blot test when captured. I think it's just supposed to be lots of different ink blots, but I could very well be wrong.

  • umm....u spelled it wrong (Rorschach) and it supposed to do that, idk why....

  • Rorschachs mask was made from a fabric that Dr. Man. made that has heat and pressure sensitive liquids in two things of latex so when he puts it on his face it changes cause its reacting from his warmth and the pressure of being stretched over his face. :)

  • You really don't know? And you've read the graphic novel? It tells you why the mask changes in the best chapter of the graphic novel. Re-read it again, without skipping, honestly you'll get a lot more out of it, if you take your time and read it properly.

  • i just dont uderstand why this movie didnt do well it seems very accurate

  • they cut it right there because the guy was naked.

  • It's Rorschach

  • the movie was great

  • This was an alright action movie... but it lost everything that was special about the comic when it was condensed. Most of the casting/acting/dialog was good (except ozzy) but it lost the deep connection to the characters and a lot of the messages Alan Moore was trying to get across.

If the comic didn't exist then I would really like this movie, but as it is, I feel like the movie could have been so much more...

  • well there is the director's cut which hopefully make this movie better.

  • I think the movie was as good as it could have been, I don't think anyone could have made it better.

  • one of the best movies ive seen

  • me too

  • this movie is so awsome

  • It's meant to be an allegory of the Biblical Book of Revelations, although with a twist - in the graphic novel Rorschach fills it out with a monologue on how God doesn't exist, and that because of it people alone ("we") are responsible for anything bad that happens in the world.

It's a pretty sanctimonious speech, one of many Moore feels compelled to make through his characters throughout Watchmen. I'm glad it was cut from the film version.

  • they showed the most cheesy part of the whole movie. overall, it was amazing, but the first 45 minutes or so SUCKED

  • i saw the movie in theaters

  • does this guy have any special powers?

  • no powers, just a man in a costume, no one has powers except for doctor manahattan the blue dude

  • duz this guy ever stop talking through out the film?

  • Comment removed

  • What powers does Rocharsh have? (i have no idea how to spell his name so i apologize!!!)

  • none of them have "powers" as such except for Dr.manhattan

  • Ok. I know what Dr. Manhatten can do, but then Why is Rosharch's mask all like weird and all deformmed and formming again! (bty i LOVE Watchmen now it is the only DC superhero thing i like)

  • it was a dress made by Manhattan, nobody liked it so Rorschach made a mask out of it... So the mask like it's treated in the Graphic Novel , is nothing important.

  • then why is it all like forming at his expression? and what does he look like under it? and what can Spectrom-woman person (you know who) do?

  • umm Manhattan made it like that i guess...

  • ok. then does he ever take it off? what can he do???

  • did you read the book or see the movie?

sure he takes it off but he has no powers. he is smart and strong that's what makes him a good hero.

  • no i haven't seen anything! and i am soooooooo interested! i see. then what about Spectromo-person?

  • .... who?

  • as for what he looks like, it shows later on in the book and movie. he takes it off only during the day, where no one knows him. apart from Dr. Manhattan, nobody possesses any special power. only superb fighting skills and a will to dress in a costume and fight crime. and it's Silk Spectre. oh and it's spelled Rorschach. hope that answered some of your questions.

  • thank you. What does Silk Spectre do? i know she doesn't have powers but .. do you get what i mean? sorry to be a burden!

  • If you don't know what he looks like under it, you should go see the movie XD

  • well it isnt important but i dont like spoiling any detail.....im like that :D

  • you REALLY should read the graphic novel it's amazing. but to try to answer you're question, here's a quote from the book that explains how his mask works: "...[his face] is encased in a thin, hollow membrane, semi-porous and incredibly thin. This contains two viscous liquids, one black and the other white. The liquids flow and change according to variations in pressure and body temperature, making the black and white blots run in an ever-changing design. A constantly altering Rorschach blot."

  • OOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! ok! i understand now!

  • still, go read the book!!

  • ok. i will

  • isn't his mask like a rorschach inkblot test? Psychologists use this test to try to examine the personality characteristics and emotional functioning of their patients?

  • yeah that's what he's named after. He takes the Rorschach inkblot test too =] ironic really

  • did you read the comic book ot explains it there. if not ill give you a pm cuz i hate spoiling things

  • i read like the first part up to where Rorschach tells the Owl person about The Comedian. (what is the Owl person's name) (who is EVERYONES' name) besides Dr. Manhatten, Silk Spectre, Rorschach, and.... that is it. OH! and The Comedian
