@theyesofthedevil it was a originally named Concord, was built in Britain in 1710. then taken by the french 1yr later and renamed La Concorde de Nantes. then taken hornigold English pirate 1717 then the ship was turned over to another English pirate Eward Teach (Blackbeard) Who then named it the Queen anne"s revenge

@SanJoSoldado Queen Anne was the reigning monarch of England at the time. The ship got it's name from the war of Spanish succession, which was also interchangeable with "Queen Anne's War". Queen Anne's Revenge seems to imply that the ship was going to be used to plunder in the name of England but they were indiscriminate in terms of raiding.

One of my favorite songs by them. Nathen is a great singer. Cruel Mistress is equally awesome. It kills me though...I've seen them quite a few times live, and I've yet to hear either song at a show.
