Quasthoff is definitely one of the best ever, but I personally like Fischer-Dieskau's "Deh Vieni Alla Finestra" the most!

A voice of pure gold, though not really suited for this role. I own this disk... the bass concert arias are really versions to die for.

I agree! He has an amazing ability to give the meaning of every word he sings.. And his voice is the most touching tone of baritone. Phenomenal singer in every aspect of the art!
