  • wouldn't postential parasites on that stick be killed when the fish is cooking?

  • @totmirmis Probably, but its best not to risk it.

  • fuck bear gryls and survivor man, this guy is much more helpful

  • im an anti-vegetarian.. i dont hate vegetarians.. but i do hate vegetables..

  • just a tip: before putting the skewer through just punch holes through with your knife:)

  • I'm curious as to why you had to skewer the fish, was this solely so you could turn the fish over the fire? I would have thought the one stick thru the mouth would suffice

  • yummy,let eat.

  • hes so scare about bacteria com on be a man

  • I tried sleeping in the sea..... i drowned and now im back to haunt youtube =P

  • cant you use those guts for animal traps

  • i hope i remember everything if i hav to survive alone in a jungle by any chance

  • WHAT IS THE SONG AT THE BEGIN

  • yikes don't stab you're selfe.

  • @thecoldwaterfall

thats how i do it, my dad tougt me that, the only hard part in fishing i find is getting the fish off the hook when its jumping aeound and stuff lol :P

  • If you clean the fish with the back of your thumb ya get everything and its faster... might want to rinse it off after to.

Lest thats how my grandpa taught me.

  • @iwasborninyourbutt-It appears you constantly strive for attention...every time I read a blatantly disgusting post-you name always appears above it...you must be a miserable person...maybe your mom and dad didnt give you attention as a child-I will be praying for you. I truthfully and honestly feel sorry for you man!-you can change-are you happy with your life.I'd venture to say-you are lonely-God can fill the void in your life-if you are willing to humble yourself and ask him into your heart!

  • what backpack is andrew wearing? I like the look of it.

  • i'll ask martha stewart to give some tips......

  • In a survival situation, could you eat the entrails? Prob shopuld cook them though?

  • how do you eat the fish ?

  • i dont blame the camera man for filming the chick riding the horse

  • Gorse tastes like almonds should you be eating it? I'd be suspicious of of cyanide's.

I know you can make wine with it, but I've not tried that, but assumed you'd have to boil it and change the water a few times.

  • lol at 6:57 looks like Jesus Christ haha

  • hahaha lol

  • hah 69 ratings!

  • hmm gotta try this

  • LOL I'd be afraid to taste anything in the wild that smells or taste like almonds unless it's an almond :D Cyanide gas is suppose to smell like almonds.... Don't know how people found that out.

  • How do you know that there isn't any cyanide in your almonds?

  • hmm, touche DietBroccoli, ...touche O_o

  • id imagine it was considering he'd torn his innards out before hand

  • Yes it was very dead. Bushcraft is not about being cruel

  • Sea holly...LOL it looks like someone planted right there... though..

  • That skewer tech is over kill. You can do that much easier ways. Ask from Japanese Locals.

  • @WolfishNuckajuh Are you a vegetarian?

  • @WolfishNuckajuh i think if i was a fish that wasn't moving while someone was shoving me on a sharp stick, and if all my organs had been removed already, I'd be pretty dead... :-P

  • @WolfishNuckajuh if u thought that was alive.... u need your vision checked

  • @WolfishNuckajuh hippy

  • @WolfishNuckajuh Wow, what a stupid comment.

  • @WolfishNuckajuh

    u idiot :D

  • @WolfishNuckajuh LOL. I think the ripping out of the entrails did that.

  • @WolfishNuckajuh Also most fish don't have a good enough nervous system to feel pain.

  • lol @ soundtrack

  • he is not a handy dude lol

  • Gutless fish :P

  • very cool, thanks for sharing

  • Thanks

  • what Chanel is this on!!!!!!!!!

  • It's not on a channel. It's on dvd format through their website only.

  • The Pepsi / Cola plant.. what is its original name? I can't quite make it out.

  • Rock sandfire i think

  • Tnx for the reply. Searching, I found its rock samphire. Going to have to see if we can get that in the states.

  • i think its fair to say that... that fish got owned...

  • Is that shot in Cornwall? Looks like Gwithian beach?

  • Wales on Gower

  • whoa..that fish got crucified/impaled rather br00tally

  • The intrails are safe to eat.

  • dude the intrails are NOT safe to eat.

and another random thing... the knife he used to prepare that fish was a frosts mora 720 =]

  • i've seen people cut around the head a certin way where when they pulled it off all the guts came with it. any1 have any idea how that could be done?

  • Umm, if you cut through the neck enough without cutting the throut of the animal. Then you go to the anus and cut around it. If done right I think you could pull the guts out with the head. Watch some dead dressing videos.

  • yeah i figured somethin like taht might do it. ill have to try it next time i go fishing

  • Oh, IDK bout a fish, I've only seen it with mammals. If it works out I'd like to know thanks.

  • kk ill message you if it works

  • That fish part was yummy! hoho!

  • Great video, 5 star!

  • Well done, highly informative!!!

  • if your camp is only for temporary use and there is now stream beneath, the easiest way to get rid of the guts is to bury them in the earth, however, if you are roasting meat on the fire you don´t have to be afraid of burning the guts, because the grizzly in the bush behind you will smell it anyway...

  • there is one thing i find not weird but not right you go out with all these fansy tool one knife for one thing and so on do wut i do go out in the wood for weeks on end and only brind a knife and water bottle

  • at 13 your parents would be pretty irresponsible to let you go out in the woods for weeks on end,so you dont go to school?? where did your vast knowledge of bushcraft come from at 13,there are a few people i know who could do what you're suggesting but they have had years of experience in the outdoors and with different situations.

  • This bloke obviously knows what he's talking about. There is nothing wrong with burning disgarded guts and trimmings in the fire given the circumstances. I totally agree that in places where wild animals, in particular bears are present, the safest method of disposal of any organic material is in a fast flowing stream. Scent is washed away safely and dissapated, and at the same time you can wash your hands, hygiene is important in any food prep situation.

  • Personally, I'd remove the scales and the gills too, just cuz it's easier than picking scales out of your mouth later

  • i hate gutting bluegill, there all guts lol but damn they sure are tasty...

  • Haha he was struggling a bit to get the skewer through the fishes "neck".

  • People seem to be getting defensive but if you didn't know, now you do. No one, especially myself, do not know everything nor do I adhere to everything I teach or learn. But if there is good information to be passed, one should take it in, analyze it however they feel with apply to them the best and incorporate it into their activities.

Just trying to keep people from dying. I have and still do search and rescue and bad things happen to people when it could have been prevented.

  • Burning is a very effective method for disposal of small quantities of food items that may otherwise attract vermin to your camp. If you had instructed survival in Alaska you would know that a Grizzly would have no trouble digging up your carefully buried waste 100 yards away from your camp, and would then come sniffing around for more. You don't know what you're talking about so keep your advice to yourself.

  • Fire is the better place to put guts if you are a long way from the water. This stops rats and other vermin.

  • away from water...where did he get the fish from?

    Survival instructor, 3 years, Alaska:)

  • We were in the woods above the sea...about a 15min walk away

  • rather walk 15 mins to dispose of something properly then get attacked by predators or attracting small critters that'll end up tearing holes through your gear.

  • It actually does not stop rats and other vermin. Throwing innards and other such 'waste' into the fire is alsmost as bad as leaving it out on the ground. When it hits the fire and begins to burn, it vaporizes the 'scent' if you will, of whatever is burning. As soon as it becomes airborne, the smell travels faster and farther, especially if it it humid. It clings to water molecules pushing the scent farther and stronger.

  • Comment removed

  • @spazzedninny Are you american? Anyway in the modern world we know that fire turns everything to ash. Ash = does not attract animals.

  • you stabbed tward your own hand,

    but im learning a lot

    thank you

  • These films are great keep it up

  • The song does not do it for me...mute button in play until he comes on the screen...thank god

  • He should probably rinse the fish after gutting it...

  • where can i find the song of this 'when the wind blows' ????

  • wow this guy is an expert

  • I found it, it was under E not C lol,

  • I love doing this sort of survival with crayfish but noe il try mackerel

  • Tasty looking fish. Here I like best the 'Bluegill' and the Ocean Perch. They're not sporty fish, but dang, they are both easy to catch, and taste great! And wood smoke and hunger all add to the great taste. Thanks for the info.

  • I've heard hunger is the best cook. Ain't that the truth. I guess it's better than drinnking your own urine eh?

  • Very interesting. Thanks!
