  • 1 person thinks whale wars is to save red snapper

  • Thanks! It was one of the better days to be 50 miles offshore.

  • that is one great calm day to fish and nice ass fish

  • Christ Nancy, are you gonna get that fish in today?

  • Take me with you!!!

  • Hard to believe that as of Jan 4, 2010 we can no longer catch these beautiful fish. join us on Feb 4 as we march on the Capitol with thousands of other fisherman

  • Beautiful fish. 5*

  • nice snapper biggest 1 ive caught was around 10 lbs but last time i went i caught a large grey trigger fish

  • very nice,,,,,,,mmmmmmmmm fresh snapper. with plank fries and coleslaw...yum!

  • We've used everyting from hand lines to trolling with downriggers and small Rapalas. Our next venture is going to be with a snoopy pole, push button zebco.

  • Dude... I love using my 5500 ambassadeur to catch snapper too. Do you ever do it?

  • you were in 160 ft of water, thats quite aways out. I was planning on a trip to the Red Snapper Sink which looks to be about 35-40 miles out from vilano. Looks like a place to start fishing for snapper. What were you fishing with? I usually carry cigar minnows or spanish sardines for bottom fishing. Last summer I was at Nine mile reef and caught several small kings, but I really want to get into some snapper like you guys were catching. Thanks for responding.

  • Nice Snapper bailesjs, fishing off St. Augustine/ valano inlet? How deep were you fishing? I just started fishing that area, usually fish off gulf coast (Suwannee)

  • We did go out of Vilano and I'm pretty sure we were in 160+ feet of water.

  • That was caught on a whole dead squid about 9 inches long.

  • The squid is dead .Did you move the squid up and down to look the squid still life?

  • your pro what kind of bait

  • We grab all of our snapper by the eyes, I don't think it hurts them, they've never complained. We had a net but a big old snapper bent the thing in half one day and we don't like to gaff them just in case we want to let them loose. Snapper fight until their bladder expands too much, then they sort of give up on you.

  • hey man thats a bloody big snapper man why did the bloke grab it from the eyes why don't yous use a net how come they don't fight when there up if you get a grouper they dive back down these things give up

  • that fish is not that good at eaten so i hope u threw that fucker back.

  • that was a big basterd. hey watch out for the little fishes. Some of different kinds put up a big fight.
