I sincerely pray that it has been resolved,given the present economy food safety act pushing through, make what you are doing difficult.They are assuming you cannot take care of yourself , it is my opinion you could possibly be targeted because you are home schooling your kids? trying your best eat healthy food no GMO.If my assumption is correct. Good grief, years ago we were in a food co-op... I loved the comraderie of the women. Once a month we got together and split up the foods we had purchased. It was such a great feeling. Ohio.. shame on you and God forgive you for what you did this to a family!

I love this lifestyle. Can you imagine what big government thinks of people wanting to live healthy and homeschool? Having live animals on the property! For them, there is no money to be made from this lifestyle. They want to destroy this family and their means to operate. I am also from Ohio. My family is old fashioned. I have moved to Germany where people can shop at the Reformhaus (organic foods) and you can breastfeed your baby. You can even still give birth at home. No homeschooling though.

Gov't officials with big egos...that's the problem. I believe I read somewhere that in ancient Athens the people would take turns doing different gov't positions. What a marvelous idea, sure might help get rid of unnecessary gov't jobs as well as tone down the egos.

I can't judge them for what they did but if it happened as stated then heck yes that was way over the line and was over kill. Claims by two LaGrange store owners against health officials investigating their retail food establishment have been dropped in federal court at their request. The dropped claims were for unlawful search and seizure, violation of equal protection and due process, according to the court document.

oh its not just the ohio state government its the corporations pulling strings with the federal government to make these things happen. there are cases of all natural food stuff farms being sued because the pesticide companies have a patent on life itself and they dont take responsability for the actions of their own seed and grain trucks dropping the altered seeds into the farmland of the public.

After reading about the law that was passed on growing gardens without the government's approval, I am not surprised to see this. These stories will get more common as this next year or so plays out. Thanks for sharing this story as I will share it too. America is not America anymore.... so, so sad.

Organic foods are just not sold in stores.. and its hard to get those foods, I think what they were doing was awesome..Eating all these processed foods loaded with chemicals and god knows what that is killing people.. its hard to get healthy stuff!! I hope they win every court case known to man!! Our Schools and grocery stores need to put REAL FOOD IN IT!

I believe it's high time the good folks of Lorraine county took a stance against what is now a PANDEMIC in America, the rise of brutal & thuggish "policing," torturous use of taser for illegal "compliance" in post-911 USA. I can't believe that the Stowers haven't had justice done? I know there's only so much an organization can do, but I hoped that they would at least have had a court date by now? What else can we do to help them? I've notified everyone I can think of, but what else can I do to help?

The Stowers' own case is a civil lawsuit and so that moves pretty slowly.

Nothing has been heard from the county prosecutor in terms of criminal complaints as alleged in obtaining the search warrant.
