I showed this episode to a friend of mine, and he came up with the conclusion that the reason why the girl's words affect Salad Fingers in such a way is because she's the first living thing besides him that ever REALLY speaks in the series. So that's the first voice Salad Fingers has heard in a very long time, that must've driven him nuts. And I'm not counting the little guy who's in love with him or the one from the first episode because they don't actually speak. Anyway, it's just a thought.

While it is also true that besides salad fingers himself, this girl is the only character that can speak.
