@WhoKnowsWhyGuy Fender Stratocasters and Telecasters are generally more popular with the rock genre. They can get a little pricey though. Gretsch is another good brand, one can be had for around 700. Dave Grohl uses Gibson a lot. Mainly a Gibson DG335, which is a lot like a Gretsch, but with Gibson, you're looking to pay 1000+. I use a PRS Mark Tremonti SE Single Cut, I play mostly hard rock and metal, but I find with more "mellow" rock like Foo Fighters sounds pretty good on my Paul Reed Smith.
