Its not like oil will run out completely, but the places that are safe to dig in are running out of oil which is very very bad, cause those stupid motherfuckers are gonna try and dig in places where it will affect the environment...

He said a concentration of light, which also means heat. I thought of a fesnel lense before, but dismissed it thinking that much heat would destroy a solar cell. Maybe not. This is going to be very big if it works.

instead of the combersome array of mirrors, why not use a fresnel lens instead? heres an example of how concentrared the solar energy becomes. in theory you could probably make the lens so that only the desired wavelengths of light are focused

Did anyone read the news that 2 HUGE solar power plants are being built in San Luis Obispo County in California ??? They will have a capacity of 800 megawatts....That's a great start ! ! !

The power will be sold to PG & E.....

Ignorance is bliss. Solar Power is uneconomical. Innovation has significantly slashed prices in the last decades. It is still not economical nor will it be for decades. Gains to innovation are returning diminishing returns.

@Templaria Its because they don't want anyone gawking how one solar panel costs 30,000 dollars. Solar panels don't work, and they never will. People that do use them are idiots. We've been using coal and oil since..well almost up to the dawn of mankind! Solar panels came to be in what- 1941? Its 2011/2012 now, and we've gone from the Model T to your modern day Acura's, Taurus, etc.... Iphones, Ipads, and the list will go on. Remember Solyndra? They were given over 500 million, and collapsed.
