This is the first I've heard of Highlander. I'm from Appalachia and it's inspiring to see an organization like this out of Tennessee. As I travel throughout the county I hear alot of negative stereotypes about the Appalachian region. Growing up in coal mining country I always viewed by people as being particularly concerned with issues of social justice. It's great to see an organization that has grow out of that culture and those ideals. I'm going to check out the website ASAP.
