who said anything about him being great? i said his tune is a classic. why don't you read the comments before replying!
besides, moroder was primarily a producer, not someone looking to be a star. and regardless, he certainly wasn't a ONE hit wonder. how about "I feel love" with donna summer? and "electric dreams" with phil oakey? both classics.
@Slipknot4ever88 You're joking. This lot were rubbish pop music and JM Jarre's stuff is bland. Vangelis and Kraftwerk are boring as well. The best electronic music is from USA & UK.
@synsei1 Gershon Kingsley wrote Popcorn. Thomas Bangalter's father is Daniel Vangarde/Bangalter and he was a producer for bands such as Ottawan, Gibson Brothers and La Compagnie Creole.
First time I heard this was in the intro to one version of Jackie Chan's Snake in the Eagle's Shadow. How it fit in with a kung fu movie I have no idea, but it was awesome nonetheless!

shitty 70s synthpop, space rock, disco, whatever...someone diverted me here and said 90s Trance music was a French invention with this rubbish, NO WAY! I think the first Trance music was an American invention, from 1987, I might be wrong, it's at my channel, see what u think.
The summer of 1977 was so relevant to what happened in music from 1988 onwards- high in the British chart we had this, Jean Michel Jarre's 'Oxygene', Girogio Moroder's 'From Here To Eternity', Donna Summer's 'I Feel Love' and a littkle bit earlier Cerrone's 'Love In C Minor'. No other time so modern until about 1987.
Found it at last! We use this for our pantos and the tune keeps haunting me. Nobody knew what it was called but it grabbed my attention and set off something in my memory banks.... ok not on the same level as Karftwerk but a good effort!
