  • Nice video. Thanks.

  • do not use tin foil(aluminum) if there are tomatoes in the dish, the acid in the tomatoes cause a reaction with the aluminum foil. dutch oven gloves, go the tractor supply and but welding gloves.

  • wow a dutch oven glove!

  • Um, tin foil has a shiny side?

  • She's got a nice ass

  • @smthb123 She's like 10

  • @EliteSeal90 id tap that so hard

  • @EliteSeal90 Children :))

  • Thanks for the vidio, I just got my first dutch oven and want to make bread, what is your recipe for the doe ?, thanks again

  • Where does the foil go when you throw it "away"?

  • Great idea. Keep using the aluminum too. It's not exactly harmless but it has been maligned so much by commercial interests that people actually believe it is extremely more dangerous than it actually is. As with all things moderation should be the rule and not the exception. I would rather believe the ligitimate scientific community and not some scare tactician spewing misinformation. Research it first, believe me last I always say....

  • @Colin24Astonwood Not true. World Health Org. says we can absorb 50 mg of aluminum daily without harm (on average we absorb 10 mgs). Only 2 mgs are related directly to the ingestion of food or from utensils like pots & pans (mostly from acidic foods, i.e. tomatoes), canned goods & aluminum foil (bread is non-reactive). Some from antiacids, insecticides, antiperspirants, beer, baking powder, tobacco, cheese, etc.. Most exposure is from the environment. 8% of Earth's crust contains aluminum.

  • Do not worry about using tin foil. People have been using it for years to cook yams, baked potatoes, corn on the cobb, etc. Do you know of a place that has classes on Dutch Oven cooking? Those rolls you made looked better than any I have cooked in a conventional oven. I was drooling when you smeared butter on them. Someday when things start to get really nasty in terms of not having electricity and/or gas coming into our homes, we need to be more self-reliant and Dutch Ovens can save the day.

  • yum!

  • @jackgreybear

Scare tacticians irk me when they spout nonsense. Especially those relying on hearsay & bad data to promote misinformation.

While aluminum has been associated with Alzheimer's disease, there is no definite toxic link proven.

Neuroscientists have indicated that beta amyloid plaques & neurofibrillary tangles, may well be the cause of Alzheimer's. There is no mention of any connection between aluminum or any derivative thereof & Alzheimer's Disease.

  • you could use high resist wax paper, or parchment (type used for food)

  • Nice video

  • That was great! It gave me a lot of ideas on different ways to use one of those.

  • thank you so much now we know how to bake a bread without an oven

  • Great video, thanks for sharing!

  • aluminum in our food has been linked to Alzheimer's France and Sweden have banned aluminum cookware...Myself I have quit cooking with any type of aluminum
