I discovered Bowie through the movie "Labyrinth" and then subsequently (while becoming obsessed with him) heard this song and since then, I always imagine Jareth singing this song to Sarah when I hear it-- especially because of how it starts ;-)

Really good song. Definately one of his best from this era. Ya know, it strikes me that it's essentialy kind of similar to Space Oddity. I mean, at the core they're both about alienation and disenchantment,.. only this song uses fairy tale imagery instead of space imagery.  Anybody agree ?

Ofcourse its on a number of C feking D releases, what isn't. The original was not re-recorded many times as some others were, thus it is quite rare - tell me how many original bits of viynl was this released on - exactly - thats why its rare.

And this track was actually released on a number of singles back then (not to mention his first album), so again, this recording of it is, well, not that rare.

Which explains my initial disappointment that it wasn't a different recording.
