  • and they taste sooo good hehe

  • here in nevada chukar are ussually only located at the hardest to reach places (on the top of near vertical mountains) This hunting season should be great though, and im very excited to get my dog out on them!

  • very tasty lucky i didnt see him with my 12 gauge fun as hell to hunt

  • THESE are the coolest animals ever!

    CHUKARS FTW!!!

  • one of these was hanging around my property for 2 days. I live in Mass. so I knew they weren't from around here.....I'm assuming a captive bred that escaped. It was really cool though

  • I love these birds! they are so cute, and this is great footage. you're very lucky to get the chance to have chukars come so close. I saw these in the Mojave Desert, and I got pretty close, but not like this.

  • lol this is greek bird. we hunting chukar in my mountain

  • I live in Erie ,PA.I just filmed a Chuckar at a gamelands here.I looked up the bird in a book because I didnt know what it was.Wow was I surprised.I am not sure if the Game Commission released some or not.Very rare to see in Erie PA!

  • And also very cute if you take the time to look at them. ;)

I have heard they are hard to hunt, which is all the more ironic that they were walking right up to us in the reserve!

  • @ElKayeVideos they aint hard to hunt compared to quail, i go pheasant huntin pretty often and theyre the easiest then chukar then quail is the hardest cause they burst up in cuvees and scare the shit out of you.

  • @acousticprodege I've had quail do that just while birdwatching, so I know what you mean!!!

  • Those are some good tasting birds! A challenging hunt as well.

  • Hey I am very curious. How did you manage to film them? out of some kind of stand? They are very warry of humans.

  • I was very surprised how bold these birds were, but they've obviously become calm around people at this particular park, and they were foraging in the picnic area, so it's likely some visitors give them food (no one there at the time was eating anything). I was standing with my camera out in the open, as was my friend, standing very still, and they were coming this close to us! A few other people were there, too, watching them. :)

  • is it the park right here in red rock canyon road in california?

because i own one, but one of my relatives let me have it, but i want more of these because the family enjoys playing wit it.

    we called her "boo boo"

but i juss want to know that ? i asked

  • No, this is Red Rock Canyon in Nevada, just outside of Las Vegas. What's it like owning a chukar?

  • oh, well it is very fun having one, they are so cute and peaceful, well the one that i have is like this. also i wanted to know where i can find them other than where u meantioned or Buy them. because i feel sad for the one that i have because i been owning it for about a year and i dont want it to be lonely, and because they are kool having one.

    thankz

  • @13casper whats it like owning a chucker?

  • I love you. This was the most beautiful video on youtube. I love these birds.

  • Oh thank you! I was a little disheartened to see about the only other YouTube references to them involve hunting. Thankfully no hunting allowed in Red Rock Canyon! :)
