@KashaKiller1 I don't think he meant Americans in general-I think he meant American media & I'm sure you'll admit that a lot of media in the US (or certainly the majority that we would be exposed to on this side of the Atlantic) is pretty vacuous & not very receptive to new ideas. It's not exclusively America though-you hear him talk about the UK too. At one point he says something like: "Britpop taught me that it's very hard to be experimental in this country". So I wouldn't take it to heart :)
