Anybody who now receives the minimum wage or tax credits should write to Gordon Brown and thank him. The min wage got rid of greedy employers getting away with murder when the pay was left at their 'dicretion' It's not a hundred years ago (the nineties in fact) that people were working for two quid an hour. The tax credits coupled with the min wage make working for less than the traditional 40 hours (which are much harder to find these days) worthwhile now. Gordon Brown did that!
