  • i actually know and work with people who don't trust the government, so instead of phone, or email, (because they comm over distance) they built digital decoders for their own morse code, but this isn't it, they usually use higher freqs, and faster tones.

  • Sounds like a robot rave to me.

  • transcript of whats there

    BZATD MFPHL UWVRY (OE)BATO NQFPH RUJS(AA) C(OE)NTK MXQFP SR(IM)WV (AA)CMTG

    N(MM)XQF WSLUJ V(AA)NTD MY(MM)XQ UWSR(IM) JVKTO NZY(MM)X GUPSL (IM)JVAK MBZY(MM)

    DGFWH L(IM)JIE N(OE)BZY ODQUP HL(IM)AE RC(OE)BZ KOXGF PI

    little rusty, but wiki says the non standard chars are

    OE = ---. = ö

    AA = .-.- = ä

    MM = ---- = 'ch'

    IM = ..-- = ü

    sounds like an auto key, freq is drifting a little so old transmitter, probably eastern europe

  • @smokeyassassin Great work!

    73 from Bulgaria and Merry Christmas to you and your family!

  • Military, Soviet or Soviet trained .._.. is one of their special characters......just depends on what user/region is sending.

  • i hear the letters *start transmitting* GIG GIG GIG GIG GIG *stop transmitting that repeats every six seconds. ands its on the aviation band...

  • i know its just a random set of numbers and letter but can some one give me the translated code

  • too much interference for a logical message but this is all that came through on a 2000 freq. setting: eeeetrdr÷bintditueeteeaeqfpwwetttieøvrtøekiteeeeetttttettbeytfeetteeee

    not much sense

  • @thefluffinator229 some sort of encryption possbily?

    I'll have a playabout with the text.

  • sounds as if it is being tapped out by hand

  • Is it RTTY?

  • @PresentedIn4D Not, RTTY. This is much too slow to be RTTY. One of my EE teachers could send this fast or even slightly faster with an iambic paddle key.

  • @DrMotorDude Yes, i posted that when i was stupid on digital modes. It is either someone with a bug or software.

  • @PresentedIn4D RTTY changes in tone for each bit, heres a link to an example:

    youtube.com/watch?v=k69fGnCOVVU

  • @jacelw96 I realized a while back, I never knew then.

  • I'd say it could be German rather than Russian, as there's no character . . - . . which is part of the Russian set.

  • Made some mistakes there...

    WILUW = WSLUJ, UÄNTD = VÄNTD, UVSRÜ = UWHRÜ, JVKTO = JHÄTO.

  • Definitely Russian military net. The barred E is very rarely used in military traffic. You will hear it sometimes in codewords transmitted by Russian military nets.

  • 5-letter groups, no numbers , maybe in Russian because it includes characters like ._,_ .-.- ..-- ---- which are Russian letters.

  • yeh get cw get, bet its numbers

  • Wow, same frequency too? Random 5 character groups points to it being a numbers station, but I hate to jump to conclusions, maybe it's a beacon of sorts.. Thanks for the info :)

  • I found this one night and copied it for a few minutes. It's random 5 character groups.

  • Try CwGet
