  • David learnt from Dave. He approaches Bass like a lead guitar. Thats why he kicks so much ass.

  • elf got to be the most underrated person in metal

  • Oh chingoneria puro talento d megadeth creo q por esa fecha todavia no ancia yo el 7 de septiembre de 1995 pero ya habia ancido mi amor ABI

  • saque este solo en bajo haci que pronto hare el cover i lo subo !

  • David Ellefson is overall a much better Bassist then Cliff Burton, he's just overrated cause he's dead.

  • @ark1671919 Nah. Cliff is more technical than David. Cliff is trained in jazz and classical. He has way more scale variety than David. They're both as good as each other.

  • I love how just Ellefson and menza are jamming, then near the end dave and marty just jump in and solo. that was too cool.

  • welcome back junior...

  • (Y) :)

  • Actually, Listen to Ellefsons lines in the early Megadeth albums, they are way more advanced than Cliffs, while still fitting the song.

  • Ellefson is the more underrated bassist. If anyone doubts this, give "Five Magics" or "Bad Omen" a listen. I don't think, in this case, one bassist can be "better" than the other. They're equally matched, in my book.

  • Ellefson dont got credits on "Bad Omen" or "Five magics", but he's bass sound is great.

  • and also my last words

  • i Love them both

  • @Defiled007 Correction. Burton's basslines were super elaborate. The Call of Ktulu was more elaborate than all of the basslines on KIMB combined. Now, dont get me wrong. I LOVE MEGADETH, but Cliff was easily the better bassist. Look up some of the "bass only" videos for some MOP songs or even RTL songs and you'll see I'm right.

    Thash Metal >9000

  • @Puertoricansniper KIMB's bass lines are > Kill 'Em All's. Peace Sells bass lines are...A complete mind fuck.

  • @Defiled007 You're really going to sit there and tell me that Pulling Teeth doesnt trump any bass solo on that album or any others for that matter? While Ellefson's solos are good and kind of elaborate, they last all of, what, 4 seconds? Peace Sells has some good solo's but, again, they're short. Now, granted, during RTL, Cliff didnt solo much, but when he did, his solos were EASILY better than Ellefson's on KIMB and Peace Sells. For Whom The Bell Tolls live on Day on the Green RAPES KIMB easy.

  • @Defiled007 Part II: Ellefson's an amazing bassist and the solo's on Peace sells are, indeed, mindfucks. However when it comes to Cliff, His solo's were just more. More theoretical, more intricate, more punchy, and more fitting to whatever song it may be. Look at Orion for example. Why do you think Metallica never did it live until now? Rob is the only bassist that Metallica has had (besides Cliff, RIP) that's good enough to play that solo and not fuck it up completely. Thrash Metal>9000

  • @Puertoricansniper Woah wait, I never said anything about solo'ing abilities...Cliff is the damn master when it comes to (metal) bass solo's. I just feel that Ellefson's basslines were more advanced and just generally better.

  • @Defiled007 yeah thats true...Ellefson is such an underrated bassist

  • @Defiled007 The main reason Cliff is famous is for his live bass solo's, as well as his "lead bass" roll. Ellefson is more of a classic bassist, writing lines to fit the song and not "lead" bass. There is no comparison, they both had different styles and are both great. RIP Cliff and long live Dave Jr.

  • David rules!!!! Best metal bassist ever

  • wow! Marty made Dave look like he just learned guitar yesterday. I know Dave is super skilled but sometimes I forget Marty is from another planet.

  • the very best of all!
