  • A1. One of my fave basslines even if it is a little "Disco-Octavy".

  • my friend that was moved to favourites! that was unreal you should do one with song a tiny bit loudeder

  • hey, where did u get tab n notation?

    good job

  • this is FUNK

  • Man, did you have to put that fret hand in ice after that?

    Great job tackling this one!

  • Oh. My. Bollocks! Mate that was truly awesome! Well done!

  • In the part at 0:44 where Joe Jackson's vocals start you really get to me man, excellent work. With this video you've single-handedly proven the synth-bass to be redundant!

  • As I play bass and know a fare bit about differerent scales etc

  • I would love to have TAB or the individual notes written out would be cool

  • :O wow

  • Man, playing that is like running a marathon. Awesome job!

  • thats sick bro

  • great! Dave maclean

  • I like the sound of your bass! Is it an ibanez or something else? Anyways great performance.

  • dude that was baddass. i can't play bass but i can appreciate how difficult that must have been to play. i'd like to make a request, "valley girl" by moon zappa, "bust a move" by young mc and anything from white zombie or 311. keep it up bro. you inspired me to take lessons.

  • @kingcountersteer Thanks. I certainly didn't expect to inspire anyone, so that means a lot! I'll have a look at the songs you mentioned.

  • Chewie, not only are you are you a stormtrooper-killing machine but you can shred bass too.

  • The best riff anyone can do on this song has just been proven this man. I truly enjoyed it. btw, are you using the thumb and pointer finger or the middle and pointer fingers with the right?

  • @overtime2005 It's just about all middle and index, yeah. Not all that good with thumb picking usually...

  • tight

  • Get down Boy! Great job, Do your thing brother, I love it!

  • dude you need to practice those octaves.. i know it can be tiring on the hand. you are fumbling a lot. just need to practice more and it'll sound better.

  • stomp out bass manicured....mastered id say

    thanks for sharing

  • Good job! Someone has finally posted JJ & the band playing this on SNL in '82. Graham Maby is a bass God

  • Here's me.

    *Looks over at guitar*

    ... No.

Lol, but you did great man, where's the tutorial video? :D

  • sweet

  • I am very impressed. I know that if I tried that, I'd have tendinitis. Great job! Keep up the great work, alright? Take care. Peace.

  • got this tabbed out?

  • @silverbree No, but I found a reasonable Guitar Pro tab that I used as a base for it (it's on Ultimate Guitar). It's all octaves, starting on F# (2nd fret of the E string, or 7th of the B in my case). If it helps, the main riff progression is F# / B / C# / F# (1 octave up) / C# / B / F# - and you need the B string to do it justice, otherwise it's just about impossible to keep up.

  • @elmyrdehory @elmyrdehory Sorry: F# / B / C# / F# / C# / B / C# is the actual progression.

  • Total bad ass

  • Very well done!

  • Wow man you killed it. Awesome Job!

  • loved it
