  • Cute stuff your kid made... And I just love your ceramic tile!

  • Nothing will happen to you if you bake your clay on something for food ONCE... seriously. No dying, no nothing. It's no big deal.

  • Thank you very much for this info - I got myself a tile from my dad's garage but it has a 'shiny' surface on it. Can I still bake my clay sculptures on that? Or would it damage the sculptures or make the cover burn?

  • @CircuitDash That will work perfectly!

  • wait so u can use a tile to bake the clay and put it in the oven? do u have to put tin foil on it 2?

  • so is it ok to gather different differente pieces and bake then once you have a bunch of them? doesnt the clay gets too dry and its eaier to brake after baked cuz of allthe time spent "outside" before baking?

  • what temperature and time do u bake your clay??? and i use like the normal oven tray.. like the gray silver one, and is it ok if i put tin foil on it??

  • @agXsnsd Check my other videos for the answers to these questions please. You can also search my channel for your type of clay to find baking times and temps.

  • Lol my mom has the same dishes

  • can i use a toaster over or a hair dryer?

  • @deline1996 Yes to the toaster oven... see another video about how to keep your clay from burning in it. No to the hair dryer. I use a hair dryer to "set" some tiny details... but it is too hot to heat the middle of a piece of clay without burning the outside. There is air dry clay if you can not use an oven.

  • @GardenOfImagination Oh thanks

  • If I make a tiny cake and want to attach it to a hook for dangly earrings...how would I go about doing that?

  • @sailorwaterprincess Check my other videos for that tutorial.

  • @GardenOfImagination thank you X3

  • I actually used my mom's convection oven and I burned the clay. :( I was so scared of the fumes, I cleaned it out with baking soda and water and just wasn't comfortable. I had to buy her another one and kept her old one. She was a bit upset. Haha.

  • @marissacarri The oven is just fine. Air it out, the fumes will be gone.

  • are you supposed to put triple thick over it before baking it

  • @animalluvers97 Triple thick goes on after it's baked and cooled.

  • @GardenOfImagination

Does Triple Thick stink? I heard you mention in another comment that it takes a few days to fully dry. I usually do things in my room, but I'm considering doing it in my garage if the smell is strong.

  • @obso1337desu Yes, it certainly does. If smells bother you, then I would suggest doing it elsewhere.

  • @GardenOfImagination

Sorry. Yet another question from me. I'm planning on making a ring out of fimo clay. If I bake it, will it get ruined with water? Ex: Washing my hands with it on.

  • @obso1337desu If the circle part is around your finger it will break. Baked clay is fragile and not good for anything that gets bumped hard. It is waterproof though. I would glaze it with triple thick.

  • @GardenOfImagination

So if I glaze it with Triple Thick, it'll add a little bit of longevity?

  • @obso1337desu Yes.

  • do you have to spray something so it doesn't stick to the pan

  • Comment removed

  • so you wait till you have a lot of tiny things of clay???

if you dont do... amm is wrong if I dont bake the clay pieces at the time that i make them, do I have to refrigerate them or something until I have a lot ?

    you know to save gas:D

  • @zukkilob They can just be out in the air, no refrigerator needed. You can bake them alone or together.

  • LOL! I LOVE your daughter's clay projects that she made! She's sooooooooo stinkin' cute! ♥

  • Is it safe to put in a regular oven? because a lot of people say they have small toaster ovens for this?

    thanks!

  • Yes it's perfectly safe. The only dangerous part are fumes if you burn it. But that still doesn't hurt your oven... just stinks really bad.

  • Would I be able to use a baking dish for food after I used it for clay, as long as I line the pan with tin foil when I bake clay on it?

  • No, you really shouldn't.

  • Haha! A mustache! That would cheer me up anyday if I was sick!

  • ok nice!

  • how mintues do we make it for do we take ir right away when ur done?

  • Baking depends on thickness of clay and type of clay. You'll have to check your brand of clay for time and temps.

  • ok thank you

  • I accordion fold a manilla folder and put it on a normal baking sheet, then put the clay on the folded up folder. Doesn't stick, don't get funny spots, doesn't touch the baking sheet! :D

  • Great idea!

  • hi can you make turnips???

  • listed

  • I use any pan for clay and then i tell my parents and they wash it and we bake food on it too

  • once polymer clay touches a pan you should never make food in it again. Well, use your gut I say but I have my own specific pan I use for just clay and no way in heck would I ever wash it and use it for food again =)

  • You turn into an alien.

Okay... it may leave a plastic residu and it would be like eating plastic. In 100 years you would probably get cancer. Yes, you can bake tin foil with your clay... but it sticks.

  • Check back tomorrow to see if the problem fixed itself.

  • do you bake them in your regular oven? because my mom got a toaster oven specifically for my clay because she heard you're not supposed to put them in the regular oven because of the food?

  • @cutekiwi1045

i use my normal cooking oven :]

the only time the fumes/toxins come out is if you burn the clay ^-^

  • Yeah... what she said. Use your regular oven.

  • okay, thank you!

  • THANKYOU for answering my question!!! i have problems with this and i use the same oven to bake food :o

  • @ag469 I bake my clay things on plain ol' tin foil. I think it works quite well just as long as you pay attention and make sure it doesn't fall.
