@PorcheKitty First off, my Sc2 is a 95, and while our vehicles have the same engine, my car is about 300 lbs lighter than yours, so just because -you- and your car couldn't beat it, doesn't necessarily mean that mine couldn't. Also, the C32 AMG has at most 349 hp (Who's lying about their vehicles now?) Also, I didn't mean that my car could necessarily beat his in a race, I just meant that mine does 0-60 quicker.

It averaged 24-26 city, and 28-30 highway... Hell of a lot better than my new C32 AMG. Averaging 17-19 city, and 22-24 highway. About to install 185MM LET pulley along with LET ecu tune. I'm sure that will impact the MPG's...

It's not a good video to show what the 2002 Sportcoupe is capable of accelerating. First off the high altitude here doesn't help, and it rarely gets below 65F outside. The first part 0-80MPH was going up an incline on the highway, and because I had to turn onto the highway the acceleration started out in second gear. Wasn't using the manual automatic. So yes, stock c230 is a little quicker.

put it into dynomometer test mode...1. insert the key and turn it 1 click 2. press the reset button 3 times (has to be on the original screen with total miles and such) and you should hear a beep and the battery monitor should pop up showing UV "some number"

That method doesn't work on the 2002 Sportcoupe. Second method holding reset for more than 30 seconds does cause an audible beep, but the remaining steps do not work.

My steering wheel controls were damaged. Had to apply a lot of pressure to use them. That might of been the problem. I know the click 3 reset button wasn't working. After holding reset for 30 or so seconds it would beep. No menus were available other than the usual.

3. use the arrows to thumb up/down to find dynomometer test mode and set it to on 4. this will disable the BAS ABS and ESP so be careful when driving 5. to turn it off and set it to the normal settings, just turn off the dynomometer test mode and turn off the car and remove the key and this should reset it.

gt4awd, ur car is kind of slow, i have the same, 2.3lt 189hp, my 0-60mph is definetely less than 8 sec, i did 7.49 sec, max speed is 152mph, if the car doesn't spin from the idle when the esp is off, something is wrong with the secondary injection system.

Weights just above 3100 pounds, and is just about 200hp/torque stock. 235hp/torque with ASP pulley. I did notice a difference after removal of silencer also. The silencer is a huge piece of plastic sitting right in the supercharger manifold. I'm guessing 245hp/torque after removal. Maybe not that high, but at least some gain. I'm impressed by its acceleration especially considering the vehicles weight.

Since purchasing the vehicle little over a year ago, I have put 25k miles on it, and experienced no problems to date. Purchased with 90k miles, and now at 115k. The 02' coupe actually has one of the most reliable, and well built engines. The M111 2.3lt straight four kompressor engine. A lot of people don't like the coupe, because of the rear end. My opinion is it looks great, except for one angle. That being a direct side view... Even then it doesn't looks terrible. Just missing something!

One more question - do you really have to change the tires often? Apparently it grips the road a LOT.

Very true, but as I said it has a well built engine. One problem I am having is a slight oil buildup throughout intake tubing. This is originating from the crankcase breather. One guy added his own oil catch, because the OEM setup doesn't do a very good job. My MAFS likely needs replacing, because of this. For now monthly cleaning keeps it working decent. After ASP pulley, and my new driving habits, I don't expect my tires to last beyond 30k miles. They are rated for 80k miles!

What year coupe do you have? I have come to believe that red is the best color for the coupe. It shows off the body contour best. Any modifications to your coupe? So far I have replaced amber indicator covers with clear, installed the ASP pulley, NGK Iridium IX sparkplugs, and just recently removed the supercharger silencer. :)

Well, I don't have a completely accurate way of timing the 0-60MPH. What I did do was cut the clip down in Windows Movie Maker until the point right where I applied throttle, and then right when it hits 60MPH. Then you can check the clips total time to figure your 0-60MPH... I'm sure brake launching could get me in the mid to low 6's during a cold 30 degree winter night. Other than that the only thing I can think of is the injectors must be slightly clogged which is slowing the times down.

Get a sprintbooster and you'll pwn all those Ford kooks. They are just pissed because we have 2.3l supercharged and get 30mpg, while they piss away their fuel with the soggy v-8. enjoy your 6mpg loser !!, and yes this is pointed at you "08gtstang" I own the same car, but it's deep blue with 17" wheels instead. you can buy the sprint booster on ebay for about $250 and install it yourself in about 30 mins, no odd tools needed.

The 02' c230 sportcoupe already outruns all the v6 mustangs from launch, even without the sprint booster. I've had at least five mustangs try to race me off the line at stop lights, and they always loose. Beat one of the v8 gt's top speed run on the highway also. Well, actually it's not the slowest, but yes, it is the cheapest. The coupe is Mercedes-benz bottom of the line, but it is also one of the rarest. Only a select few amount of them were manufactured. My dream car would be a C32 AMG Sportcoupe, and if I had the money to get that, then I would definitely have the money to modify it heavily. I read a review that states the C32 AMG Sportcoupe is the fastest sport compact in the world!

The throttle mapping is setup for slow dead stop to full throttle launch, so that kills the 0-60 time a lot. Not to mention the automatic transmission. I doubt your accord, or maxima, would be faster at say, 60-130mph, but who knows... Get a video of both dead stop to top speed so we can compare.

The 02' is a good choice, because it has the 2.3lt M111 Kompressor motor, and the other newer years have the 1.8lt M271 Kompressor. M11 is less problematic, and a little faster. Car runs very smooth, and is fun to drive. Hasn't given me any problems yet.

That is the amount of time it showed for the entire clip, so unless the program has a flaw, that is how fast it accelerated to sixty miles per hour. The vehicles is an automatic. The manual transmission can get you faster 0-60, but not sure about low seven second.

Wasn't ment to be something special, and the red works out in the dusty area I live. Would have rather had different color, but it looks nice still. The 2005 have a 1.8lt Kompressor (m271), and this 2002 has a 2.3lt Kompressor (m111)... To be honest I don't really like the looks of the SLK230, and yes, I'm sure it's louder. C230's have really quiet exhaust.

Yes, that did seem about the same acceleration top end. The road I was on wasn't flat though, and slightly inclined. That 20-130 is actually two videos edited down to one. Was on the highway in the morning, and had to keep waiting for a few cars. It was nice how I was able to determine the exact 0-60/60-0 by reading the seprate clips total time in Windows Movie Maker.
