well, the only reason why i enjoyed this years home run derby is because big papi was in it, he is on the redsox (my fav team), and he won. but the players were kinda suckish at times. i don't think chris young or vernon wells or even swisher and hart need 2 be in the homerun derby. they might be GOOD players but not GREAT players. the homerun derby is meant for really good players like a-rod, howard, pujols, braun, fielder (etc..)

Hell yeah man, I didn't think the home run derby was exciting as past ones, but maybe cuz I had a fever this time. Everybody was so happy in this though, and its kinda a fun thing my bro and i do. We watch it, see who wins, get the video games out to see if its the same.

This obviously was not a good year for the home run derby. I usually watch it and look forward to it as a great event. Yesterday, however I didnt know it was on but if I truly cared I would have looked. It just has not been as exciting in the past couple of yrs. I loved the Mark Mcguire and Sammy Sosa steroids comment lmao.

It actually was pretty good this year (maybe because I'm a redsox fan) . These 8 players were good enough to risk the rest of their season to put on a display of the longball and all you can do is bash it? David Ortiz and others did this solely for the fans and I for one enjoyed it. And why bash Hanley Ramirez? He has a great homerun swing.
