I like both versions. In all fairness, translating ××××××ですか? into English is a bit hard because we ask questions like that as "Are you / Is ××××××?" or "Do you / Does ××××××?". GOOD JOB NINTENDO! God, weaboos, you need to realize that that's how language works and just because its in a foreign one, that doesn't mean the content is better.
