I agree that it is much easier for me to pre-detangle my hair while it is dry versus when it is soaking wet. I also saw that tip in Harmony's videos. I just two-strand twist my hair instead of braiding. But you're right, braiding would hold better than twisting while shampooing. Also, I tend to add the conditioner to my dry hair before detangling.
@brownshuga24 Yeah, she is awesome. I am so grateful that she posted those videos b/c detangling was really starting to become a burden. Don't get me wrong, it's still not fun Lol....but it's much easier.
@aaahhhbig10 Missed you ladies! Girl I am soooo mad with the YTC company. They changed the ingredients! I will post a video about it soon! Happy Holidays love=)
@queenTrdh I usually finger detangle as well but since my hair was braided for almost 2 months, I knew that finger detangling wouldn't be as effective b/c of the built up shed hairs. Oh and I love olive oil! Never thought to use it for detangling though. Thx 4 the tip
i dont understand, why are you putting leave in on dirty hair?
i have what i would asume is "3c-4a " hair, find that a great product to detangle with is jane carthers leave in, after ive cleaned, conditioned/dc my hair .
@kaysmoothh Lol=) Well I was going to explain that in my YTC update review but since you asked=)....the reason I use this particular leave-n is b/c it has the same exact ingredients as the regular YTC conditioner. Yeah weird huh 0_0 I am not sure why but I said what the heck...it's $2.99. I just needed a cheapie moisturizer to saturate my hair once I detangled. That way once I finished, I could put a plastic cap on for a deep condition. Thx for your question love. Happy Holidays
I don't think that's a lot of shedding considering you haven't detangled your hair in 7-8 weeks. The average person sheds 50-100 hairs per day. Some more some less. That's a lot of shed hair that has accumulated after 7-8 weeks.
We have the SAME shower curtain LOL.

I use olive oil it cheaper, & finger detangling is more gentle. Not too much hair considering the time it was braided.
