I'm a junior in high school, and this school is at the top of my lists for colleges! What an incredible band. That lead tenor player is really cookin'! I think I've listened to their recording of Yesterdays one hundred times now.
Nice video. Someone needs to contact C.J. "Woody" Wood, who played in the late 40s band and has an old, original acetate recording of the Band. I heard it 25 years ago. Blown away because it had a harpsichord playing along in a jazz band! Anyone remember Gene Hall? I was fortunate to join him in several informal jam sessions. What a gentleman. Thanks for sharing ths!
