The SC2 is either the DOHC, or the guy had swapped it with the DOHC SL1/2 engine. The SL engines are easier to work with and upgrade than the SC engines.

Sadly my SC is a SOHC so I got screwed over pretty badly.

It is shorter, but still concidered rediculously long and completly unusable.

In forth gear, on flat surface, I could push about 113 in 4th Gear, about 7200-7300rpms. I remember shifting into 5th and it would fall from 113-110 immedietly.

From memory, I believe it was around 4600rpms when shifting into 5th, max trq is at 4000rpms.

It just couldnt pull, the gears to long.

4th should be longer or 5th should be shorter or both.

135 was accomplished going downhill, with another person in the passenger seat, It shut off right at 135.(Max Speedo)

there may have been some gnarly variance in your speedometer or speed sensor too, alot of manufactures expect up to a 10% error in speedometers. I know what you're saying about the 5th gear thing though, its for gas mileage, basically an overdrive gear. I never use it if I'm racing or driving aggressively.

I drive that highway everyday in my 01 SC2. I've raced quite a few hondas and every time I'm still amazed that I blew the doors off them. I've only lost by a hair to a 99 Tahoe and by 2-3 cars(lol) to a integra (though it had a CAI, and an exhaust setup. It could of had more things but I didn't ever find out). My car at the time only had a CAI.

The thing about saturn sc coupes is that they are such sleepers. They can blow the wheels off of a civic or eclipse any day or night and it's for that reason they are under rated. I love to chase down civic coupes in mine on the highway!

Curb weight on a Geo Metro is 1650lbs. 200 horsepower puts it @ 1 horse power for every 8.25lbs thats higher than a WS6 Trans Am, or 01 Camaro SS.

250 horse power would give it a power-weight ratio as high as a Corvette Z06, ;) But this is just wishfull thinking, as it would take a competely custom engine swap with horrible amounts of custom fabrication. The transmitionw ould have to be completely re-worked as well. It would probably cost as much as a Z06 to give 250hp to a Geo.
