I've seen at least one movie recently, named "Traitor," filmed partially in America and starring Guy Pierce and Don Cheadle, that was CENTRALLY about terrorism.

Look at how westerns evolved from bad guy in black hat moving right to left on screen and good guy in white hat moving left to right to more complex dealings with survival and dealing with death (ie. Unforgiven.) The reason you see less intelligent movies with stereotypical Islamic terrorists is that more people are becoming unable to see things so black and white. I disagree with this guy but agree with his point. I do think government/big business are often portrayed as bad guys whereas if there were a movie portraying, say, an abortion doctor in a bad light, people would be up in arms about it.

However, I don't think it's some massive Hollywood conspiracy. Rather, it reflects America's growing animosity towards these entities. Again, it's conservatives trying to address the symptoms rather than the causes.
