iPhone's Landscape Keyboard

1. Double click the home button to bring up the multitasking bar. 2. Swipe right until the last set of icons is displayed in the multitasking bar 3. The furthest left icon looks like a circular arrow - touch this icon to enable or disable rotation lock on the iPhone.

4. A rotation lock icon will appear in the status bar next to the battery charge icon when rotation lock is enabled.

You can use landscape mode in notes and most other apps now as well.

i used to think that iphone's were cool until i came close to buying one and did my research on them, they're garbage, common things like a landscape keyboard for txting should've been included in the phone especially because of its huge price tag, their camera's suck too, these phones are a joke

it is one the new 3.0 software, which u can downlaod for free if u have a iphone, but for itouch it is 9.95

Believe me I have no love for Apple, but they did a lot of things right with the iphone. That's why I was so glad to see the G1 with Android. But with al the things they screwed up, it might as well be a Microsoft product.

Well it really doesnt matter if it takes up half the screen because you only have it open when you need to type something.

That's really daft.. the keyboard takes up half the screen!! Will they release one with keyboard? Another shortcoming is lack of Flash support. Is there an app that has reverse engineered the system used to view Flash file/websites? Will there also be video capture and a photoflash coming soon. At the moment these are the four main reasons why I'm holding off getting an iPhone. The T-Mobile G-1 looks really tempting :) A video editing suite would also be nice.

to see the itouch screen better when making videos like this. instead of using a backlight just turn the brightness on the itouch (or iphone) down all the way. its a lot easier to see.

I don't know a hack, but the iPhone SDK is released now so I'm sure there will be lots of new SMS apps out, or you could write one.

They don't play in safari, they launch in iPhone's Youtube application. Not everything plays yet, just the videos in the supported format. Youtube is supposed to be converting the entire backlog to the MP4 format to play on the iPhone.

yes you can vis safari!, just go to the video, then click install flash, and go back (back) the the youtube app will lauch.

Thanks man i tuly appreciate it.. i hadn't even noticed notes on the iPhone at all in all of the videos i have seen noone cares to even mention it..
