Yes, volcanoes do release large amounts of carbon. However that is NATURAL. Decomposition of animals (which results in the release of CO2) is NATURAL. However, when you tear apart the layers of the earth (which is a sync for carbon) then you're toying with nature. and then to make matters worse, there's a decrease in photosynthetic algae/bacteria due to pollution, deforestation and the BURNING of these fossil fuels.
