That video was certainly stupid. Nintendo has always owned the rights to DK. They created it! What Nintendo can't do is port or use the N64 DK because the level design is owned by Rare. Nintendo can very well make a 3D adventure game with no issues. They could even remake the N64 game with a different level design.

@nintondo316 I agree, the wii has nothing to prove. Though i think that because i think its in a league of its own (and thats not a good thing). Most people arguing the console war don't even bother to mention the wii. As for your question, im not really sure. I think you have more options with the "HD" systems. (though your right, they are flooded with shooters) At first glance the wii only has a handful of games that actually look like quality titles. (worthwhile buys)

The Donkey Kong Country games were released on Virtual Console, so yeah I'm also pretty damn sure Nintendo owns the rights to those. :D

Little did they know that Rare got permission from Nintendo to develop Donkey Kong Country, they did not get the rights, only licenses to make Country. They no longer have permission to make Donkey Kong games because Nintendo doesn't own Rare anymore.
