  • If you listen to Geithner you'll find he took none of Corker's advice.Nothing was achieved by this exchange.

  • You forgot he voted for TARP.I live in Tennessee and Bob Corker talks this tough to his voters, too. He knows what's best for us. He can offer all these compromise bills he wants but he knows they won't get passed. TARP started it all.Without TARP we would never have gotten this far in the hole. Republicans can never again talk about being fiscally conservative after giving Paulson that authority. Let's not talk tough.Corker needs to make enemies with somebody up there instead of talking tough.

  • i really like Sen Corker. He has a great business and political background.

  • Dang you're good. Wish you were my senator. Give 'em hell...someone has to.

  • Nice work today, Mr. Corker. Don't wait for Treasury to ask for authority. Write some laws and pass them, and make sure that Geithner and Bernanke can't weasel out of it. Americans are ANGRY. It's high time we resolved these zombie firms.

You should also revisit testimony given by Chris Whalen of Institutional Risk Analytics. He has already explained how resolution/receivership could have already been done with the BHC's like Citi. Call him! He's a banking genius and a patriot.
