  • I bet he will never "hit" with a big drift again,,,, lucky he was not hurt bad...

  • fus ro dah

  • On water what reason do you have for not landing into the wind? A camera?

    Sorry, 100% pilot error.

  • Comment removed

  • she is so like minute late in the questions.

  • lolage

  • Looking at the waves the wind was coming from behind and over his right shoulder. He was trying to point the boat towards the camera, while being moved off course. Pilot error.

  • Drift

  • This is a flying boat not a airplane, purely pilot mistake. aproaching to landing was very fast and aproaching angle was perpendicular.besides the wing must be opened trough to pushing the control bar.

  • Hmm,just learning to land with the slightest amount of crosswind would have helped already, then trying to touch down at trans-sonic speeds on any surface spells doom for trikes like these.

  • Why are you dead? ¬.¬

  • Question women ask LOL ,, like why are you drowning.

  • Well... this is why real float planes require a sea rating for pilots. Just because you know how to fly an ultralight and you don't need a license or ratings to do so doesn't doesn't mean it's the smart thing to do. Especially on water.

  • Too much speed, no flare. When I'm not sure, I repeat circuit and landing.

  • HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!

  • stall and crosswind.

  • Can't believe this thing crashed, the mere idea of an airboat with wings sounds solid to me.

  • You alright, Does it fucking look like it LOL !

  • Ahhh...Newton's first Law in action. The hang glider wing, engine and people want to continue moving the the same direction. When the 'V' hull of the inflatable gets into the water, you can see it wants to track at a different angle. wing and people go one way and the inflatable goes another...given the top heavy nature of the rig once it's in the water, it's no wonder that it capsizes. Obviously not a well thought out idea.

  • Woman logic

  • Bugger !

  • hahaha

  • The entire idea is pretty solid but they needed to decrease the drag on the boat by adding a hydrofoil type lift plate...

  • This is what super jazz posted, then deleted "I'm a licensed pilot too. Both hang gliders and GA. Hang gliders do not need a rudder. The washout of the wing brings the keet down gradually, this in turn stabilises the glider on all 3 axis...... google it.

Well in response superjazz, he turned a hang glider into a seaplane and he does need a rudder, because the fucking thing doesn't work. So in other words, don't fly the god damn thing as a "sea kite"

  • wouldn't even make a good boat let alone a plane, Not trying to be an ass

  • The craft was unstable and lacked yaw control. There is a reason aircraft have rudders and sea planes have rudders in the water. There is a reason for having the floats on the plane quite far away from each other. The reason is evident in this video. It was unstable.

  • @seaswirl79 Ahem. Flying wing. look at the shape of a hang glider in flight, they dont need rudders. The boat on the other hand..... well yeah we see what happens.

  • @superjezz Actually, depending on the intended purpose, it does need a rudder. Ahem, I'm a licensed pilot.

Yes, a kite doesn't need a rudder. A hang glider doesn't need a rudder, unless you fly it outside its intended flight envelope, which he did. He needed an aircraft with yaw control, which the hang glider had virtually none.

Even after a craft lands on water, the flight controls are still used to maintain control of the craft at high speeds.

  • Nice work..... Champ!

  • Goooood too fast !!!!!

  • Thats what he get for flying as fucking boat

  • Comin' in HOT

  • asshole!!

    Head wind to land!!

  • when i saw the thumbnail i thought it was a real plane wing

  • FAIL

  • Ah,ah, what a bollock....

  • menuda galleta...jajajajaja

  • Oh,indeed!

  • que putazo!

  • "You alright?"

    *Sinks*

  • Shes asking... Why are you upside down?

  • @XtremeRCTV THATS HOW SHE TAKES IT.

  • she is stil asking " u r alright " lol

  • angle of the boat...

landing seems fine from my prospective.

  • The landing speed was much too great

  • This fucked the shit out of me!

  • Apart from landing with a slight crosswind, something happens to the angle of the boat @ 00:03.

  • sure they're alright...that's why no one is answering you!!!

  • Wind was behind them, wind it always perpendicular to the waves, the shape of the waves will tell you what direction is going from and to. The 'pilot' is an idiot and should learn to sail and he'd know all about wind direction and water / waves.

  • Cross wind landing. Shit happens...

  • looks like he landed with a tail wind to the starboard quarter stern. This caused him to come in too fast with no control and yawed him into what you see..

  • Its a Bird, Its a Plane. No its Super AquaMoronMan and his minions.

  • didnt land into wind ????

  • That thing was built to crash.

  • "hey hold my beer watch and watch this"

    "oh holy shit!"

    "are you alright!?"

    "........."

  • U ALLRIGHT??

    hahahaahah

  • oh shit!

  • to this i say-whatever makes yer boat float .. ..

  • noobs

  • dumbass

  • Retarded landing

  • Note to self: next time buy a real fu--in' seaplane.

  • Lol. Thanks Menthol5...that's what I was thinking.

  • what a piss-poor pilot..!!

  • Q: "Are you alright?"

    A: "No. I'm pretty fucked-up."

  • Plane gonna be OK Uncle Lar?? "Fraid not Little Tommy.

  • The first thing I'd do is lose the front fin; ...install it aft (much like a surf board). To me, it appears that "that" was a major contributor to the roll. At least have it retractable after take-off and keep it retracted during flight, approach and landing. I'm not sure having a rudder (water, not air) would have helped either; the force of the sharp left looks like it would have broken a foot from the pedal whip.

  • @indigocrystalC6 that's not a fin it's the bow of the boat you plonker :-)

  • @WalneySkyland LOL! Yeah, what ever that thingy is on the front there! ...thinkin' I'd sand that rascal down to a nub!

  • @WalneySkyland it was 100% pilot error there's just no excuse for not landing dead square on to the wind when you haven't a runway to be lined up with

  • gamonie :D

  • ferfect landing

  • .........................................ouch!

  • GO BWAAAAA

  • nice!

  • thats a glider....

  • dude thats a sick amphibian ultralight thing does anyone know if it was homemade?

  • Girl: "You all right?"

Guy: Yeah, I'm fine: watching my $40k sinking

  • crosswinds would KILL in that thing lol

  • good for you.. foolish flyer

  • Came in too fast eh...

  • WAW fucked that didnt he! lol

  • Comment removed

  • Should have summoned Bronze Drake instead.

  • "Not too bad..." 0:08 Shit just got real

  • Lmao

  • I just say, UPS!! sorry :) LoL

  • BWAHAHAHAHAHA!

  • coño a quien se le ocurre aterrisar a alta velocidad bruto el hijo de puta

  • Seat belts??

  • kkkkkkkkkkkkk....mas o cara foi talentoso com o barco...

  • Damn white people!!! Lmfao!!

  • @donputo69 Good thing they're white. Blacks aren't "boy"-ant (plus it would be a stolen plane).

  • @5xls lmao

  • lol its a dinghy with a hang glider attached. xD

  • HERE"S YOUR SIGN !!!

  • Landing with a quartering tailwind?

  • you shouldnt do a cross wind landing in the water oviously thats gunna happen

  • Way to fast too hard and not straight enough

  • jesus christ he was hauling ass,

  • Touch down was too abrupt and hard. Dragging the back end of the boat should straighten the boat out with your direction of travel. When the boat tacks to starboard bank hard right with it. The round out needs to be more gradual. It looks like the crosswind drift was to the pilots left. (Crosswind from the contraption's right.)

  • What redneck built that thing and where did they launch from? LOL

  • Looks like a too high landing speed and no flaring to me. nasty crash

  • FAIL

  • I opinate that the pilot made the mistake of not keeping the rudder straight at the moment of landing, and eventually he could have arrived with less speed to touch water .... as a consequence the speed generated the fast rotation that made him flip over ... the plane is very reliable when the pilot is aware, responsable and always concentrated!

  • @mikimila Delta glider has no rudder... ;)

Actually, he crashed because of high speed side wind and a bad technique... About his speed, during approach to the sea surface, he must gain his speed a bit to correct dirrection of the boat. In a moment, lets say, when he is on a 1 meter from the ground he can slow down by rising front side of his wing ("opening the wing"), and that is called "exhausting" in litteral translation from my language.

  • @berakd I know that the glider has no rudder, but the boat has one! When thr flying boat is in the water the rudder is used to manouver it, control the direction, and make sure that the boat doesn´t start a self rotation at the moment of accelerating to take off. You´ll clearely understand the importance of keeping the rudder perpendicular to the axis at the moment of "touching ground" ... this said I agree with you on the side (or even sligtly back) wind -and unappropriate landing technique!

  • @mikimila Well, you can be right, you probably are... I do not have experience on water... I thought that rudder on a boat is self directional, and as such, it can straiten up in a moment when it touch water surface. In the other hand, water is specific...

On the ground, I have self directional front wheel holder. I do not have to worry what will happen when I land. I just need to hold it after I am safely landed, to press the brake pedal...

  • in yo face!

  • Cross wind, dumbass...,crosswind.

  • when it first landed, i thought it was a good landing, but a couple of seconds later POW, obviously not :P

  • This was funny as hell! They need to take some aerodynamics course and put this bad boy in a wind tunnel before another test flight. Oh yeah, helmets! Lol!

  • Seriously did that woman say 'why are you upside down' at the end?? GOD SHE IS THICK!!

  • 'you all right' ermm NO! isnt it obvious LMAO!

  • Epic Fail!

  • Sculley before he flew for US Airways.

  • XD

  • Epic

  • once it rolls over it has the BIGGEST WATER RUDDER EVER! HAHA you think maybe retracting it would help?

  • HAHA I guess it doesnt like crosswinds HAHA man why dont people think first!

  • landing speed approach is fast and pilot should throtle down to idle...i think hes gonna do a touch and go.

  • FAIL!

  • thumbs up if you thought it was like a giant plane..

  • xD

  • wow they alright

  • ooops

  • that does not look like a plane. More like a boat with wings lol

  • Thats a zodiac attached to a hang glider....thats no water plane...

  • Comment removed

  • what a fuckin bad plane construction.

  • good job but bad luck..((

don't worry next time u'll do it...))

  • LOL Are you alright!

  • Homebuilt POS maiden...professor numbnuts shoulda known better.

  • @poohtray A little hostile aren't we? It probably wasn't homebuilt anyway, just bad design w poor crosswind landing characteristics.

  • Just a little bit of wool from nana's knitting basket. when it lines up with the hull you can let the little boat sit down. hope they were ok.

  • LOLOLOLOLOL.... i don't understand, this is SO fucking un-safe, WHY EVEN TRY IT `xD

  • hahahahahahahah that cool

  • I hawe self one polaris FIB. He hawe to high speed in to landing and landing in same way some the wind! and no water roder in water he cant dont stear the plan when him touch the water!!! you can see my landing, Seek (Tony Grums) on you tube. flying is fun.

  • LOL fail plane

  • real airplane would of had a rudder

  • @cassuttracer0C8 ....lol tail-less terrifiers...flying motorcycles...call it what you want, but i like my wings held on by more than one bolt.

  • FATALITY!

  • O.O is it me that i her someone fart on 0:08

  • idiots

  • fail xD

  • No one wants to mention that he is landing this trike with the wind(look at the water). I guess he thought he would save time since landing like he should would have put him out around 500'. Retards like this give the good ultralight/sport pilots a bad name. This thing probably has a cruise around 25 and a stall of around 17. So if the wind is even 5mph it make the landing speed 20 instead of the safe 10mph(or less) that it should have been. Hopefully he got his attitude adjusted with that fail.

  • @katiebuglj BEST COMMENT !!!!!

  • XDD

  • It's a good thing both pilot and passenger were wearing helmets and life vests- Right? ...... NOT! Way too fast- lucky to be alive....

  • 8 hours from bottle to throttle mate...

  • was she about to ask "why are you up side down" lolol

  • @antonyarnanova hahahahahahahahahaha

  • FAIL XD

  • Wow, poor guy, but still I laughed my head off.

  • Bwhahahahaha that was one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time.

  • @Ross3r 4 realz but i feel guilty

  • hahaha fuckin laughed me pants off.

  • talk about side load lol
