Amplitube rocks if you have a 1000$ Soundcard, a Noise Gate... If you don't have this you can only use it as a Post Recording tool. But, for live. it's cheaper buying a real Tube Amp and a PODxtLive.

i own a m-audio fast track pro and a mac book
and uses amplitube live all time :P
remember you can always use software noisegates ( plz dont compare with analogic ones, but you can always download them 4free)
